Neighborhood: Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

What a fun shop!
Aug 2019 • Solo
If you’re into rock and pop memorabilia for your home or just looking for unusual gifts for family and friends, this is the place for you. It’s named after the iconic song co-written by Elton John’s lyricist, Bernie Taupin. It’s full of quirky items, which makes it huge fun to browse round. Items are not expensive and they’re definitely unique. The shop is either the first or the last one on the west side of Carnaby Street, depending on which end you start. Find it and you’re guaranteed a great experience.

Unique Gifts
Jan 2019 • Friends
I came across this shop one day while on Carnaby St. and immediately fell in love with all of the unique artwork and gifts that were available for purchase! I wanted to purchase so many things but my budget didn't allow me to unfortunately. This is the perfect place to pick up some one of a kind souvenirs that aren't super cheesy like most of the tourist shops around London.

Fantastic gifts

If you want gifts that are unique and somewhat quirky this is the place to go. It's in the Regent Street shopping area. Get off at Picadilly Circus tube stn and walk to Carnaby St. I perused their website before going so I had a list of items I wanted. The sales asst was lovely and very helpful. Overall I spent 120£ on gifts for my colleagues and friends & family which they all loved! Very unique artistic gifts.

Unique and lovely souvenir shop
Sep 2018 • Couples
Very friendly helpful staff. We found gifts for all ages here. Lots of humorous cards, pins, badges, books, ceramics and lovely art prints. All the prints I saw were matted and protected with plastic. We all found special items for special people and even for ourselves! Lovely shop to finish our morning of shopping.

Unique London souvenirs!
Aug 2018 • Friends
Really unique and unusual London souvenirs on sale here, and we loved looking around. Rather than picking up magnets, etc. from street vendors, considering going in here while you're on Carnaby Street for some more quirky, high quality presents and buys. You're going to pay a little more, obviously, but it's worth it. Also does Carnaby Street merchandise which I loved. A must visit!

London souvenirs you'll want to display when you return home.
May 2017 • Couples
By a happy accident, we ended up doing a fair bit of shopping our last day in London. As we moved from shop to shop looking for things we could take home that were more than mere trinkets, we happened upon We Built This City. From the moment we walked in, we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of specialized items with real character. We brought home several gifts for ourselves and our friends; my wife even went so far to get me another poster as a Christmas present. Highly recommended.

Go if you’re looking for something unique from London. Great posters celebrating rock and roll, London and famous people. Also lots of other very cool merchandise. I bought an alternative rock lineage poster for my son. I know he will love it. Stop in!!

Made in London
Sep 2017 • Friends
Unusual collection of art and London souvenirs all apparently made and produced by real London artists. Very different from the run of the mill souvenir shops selling brightly coloured plastic trinkets. I spent a good hour here and would recommend this shop to anyone looking for something just a bit different. Carnaby street is definitely on my list for my next London break from Portugal.
