A most perfect cinema
Feb 2020
Comfortable auditorium with armchair seating, good leg room.
A bar that is in a classic style, 1960s, serving good wine and delicious looking cakes to have with coffee. Food can be ordered in from the nearby Italian restaurant as all tables have numbers. Thus, one can make an evening to enjoy with good wine, a decent size pizza and a great film to watch. There are two screens so choices to be made. Difficult? Not really all films shown here are chosen well.

Lovely local cinema
Jan 2020
I went to see Little Women in the main cinema. It was lovely, comfy seats albeit could do will a bit of sponge added to the chairs. But a good screen and sound quality. The bar outside was great and had a really good buzz before the screening.

Strongly recommend for a different cinema experience. You don't get the same quality as the big market share holders but I would choose this every time.

Gorgeous cinema
Jan 2020
Tucked away above the Spar, this cinema and cafe has a surprising wow factor when you go in. We went in screen 2 which was tiny but the sofas were great. The bar is a really good size and they let you order in pizza if you want a more substantial meal than the cinema snacks. Good selection of films and the staff jolly too. Nice mix of families, couples and people of all ages. Prices are fair for the area. We're making it a regular!

Hidden gem - like having your own private cinema
Jan 2020
A small, beautifully designed independent cinema in East London. They show arthouse, independent and mainstream films so something for everyone. It's my local but I would make the trip even if it wasn't. It's in a old building and retains the original features with a sympathetic restoration and interior. The bar has a great ambience and it's worth arriving early for a drink. Inside there are big armchairs which are very comfortable. Staff are really lovely. Well worth becoming a member as you get 2 free tickets so it actually costs nothing! It's also really good value at non member price!

Good vibe and Art Deco Design

BoHo / shabby chic vibe in the cinema, super comfy seating. An aesthetically pleasing & great bar. Will be looking for opportunities to go again.

Beautiful friendly cinema
Sep 2019
This gorgeously restored art deco cinema is well worth a visit even if you're not local. The seating is very comfortable and the bar serves delicious drinks and snacks, with pizzas available from a local supplier. It has a great range of arthouse and popular films and deserves your support as it is a crowdfunded enterprise relying on friendly volunteers. The neighbourhood has interesting shops and cafes and a street market on Sunday mornings so there's lots else to enjoy nearby.

A delightful local cinema and bar
Jul 2019 • Solo
This is a hidden gem that deserves to be well used. Community funded. The cinema has very comfortable seats or really armchairs with excellent leg room. The only slight adverse comment in the cinema is slightly intrusive air conditioning. The bar is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve not tried their food. All in all excellent.

I booked the cinema by mistake - totally my mistake. They generously refunded my booking with politeness and humour. Good people!

Great independent cinema
Dec 2018 • Couples
We normally go to Curzon Aldgate, Rich Mix, Electric Shoreditch or Genesis for something a bit different in the East End, but we stumbled on this gem by accident... bought membership straight away, fantastic retro style with great bar (would be fab for a party!), loads of comfy seating and special touches. Very happy to be able to support this venture... only slight drawbacks are chilliness (this is December)and no food served (just bar snacks), but everything else great. Hope it benefits from bigger footfall... def needs more publicity! 😍
