Went to see movie with kids. Complex is a bit run down, long queues for food. Expensive seats. When leaving several cars with young men trawling the car park. Driving inconsiderately/ dangerously. It felt like they were looking to haste/ intimidate people. Wouldn’t visit again when dark.

I wanted to make a formal complaint about this but I couldn’t find an appropriate place to do so on the Vue website.

The Acton branch is usually a cinema I visit if I am on the way home from central London, or if it has better showings than other cinemas near home but is never a first choice. This is because of Park Royal complex itself and the facilities within the cinema needing servicing and better quality screens and seats.

On Saturday, I came to Vue Acton to see the new Pacific Rim film. I lined up to buy tickets and snacks. The lady who served me didn’t ask what size I wanted for anything and just served me the large version of everything so that she could receive a larger commission. I noticed what she had done straightaway, and I questioned why she had given me the larger sizes for everything I had ordered. She responded with “it’s more value for money this way”. I didn’t even get a choice in the matter. The bill was extortionate. Be careful when ordering.

Nothing special. A bit messy but its just a cinema. Besides the movie and the company is the most important.

Visit this Cinema quite regularly, sometimes 2/3 times a month but recently been seeing it go downhill. Nothing prepared us for yesterday!!
Walked in and the place had a dirty feel to it. We went over to the counter to be served, to be very frank, by a very miserable member of staff. I thought i would be diplomatic and ask if he was having a bad day, to be told, he had just started (7pm). I couldn't believe my ears!
We then stood aside to download our offer code, we were approached by the manager to see if we were ok and needed any help, which was nice.
I did ask him if I could have a quiet word, to which he responded if I could give him a few mins and he will be back, I addressed my issues and his first comment was "he (the chap that served us) was called in as they were under staffed and he was having to serve and clean the screen". I said that wasn’t my problem and it was not acceptable to be treated this way, At first he looked at me in a way that I didn’t expect and then after I continued with my concerns he apologised half heartedly and said he would have a word.
Once we manged to struggle and finally download we moved over to the counter again, only this time the member of staff was too interested in looking at his phone than looking up.
We got our tickets, and decided to grab a bite nearby as we had some time before the film started.
The one advantage and reason we choose to come here is it is convenient to park and there are a few places to eat within the leisure complex and we used to enjoy the cinema experience.
We returned and I went through while my friend got her popcorn and drink, the member of staff that served her this time seemed to have a better and more friendly approach but the counter was not busy at this point and he could have cleaned up.
Once we sat and started enjoying our film we were made to feel very uncomfortable by a couple of lads who were up and down the isle, pushing one another onto some people who were seated in front of us. During the film a few of us turned to look around as we could smell weed, which was shocking!!!
Things didn't end there as we left we went to the toilets which were filthy!! toilet paper coming out seats were disgusting!!
Luckily I had a Radar key due to my disability so was able to use the disabled toilets. There was loo paper in the foyer outside in two places too!
This is what we saw. Pictures say it all im sure....we won’t be coming back until we have some assurances.

Disgusting, Ridiculous, Fraud.
Ive been to this cinema many times, as its my local, but i never learn. Ive seen Giant rats a year ago, i complained to manager, who tried to assure me not to worry and that pest control are aware. Its still Dangerous and a health and safetey RIsk. Again, few months later, i went and had a poor experience, when movie started, the lights were on. (usually the lights get turned off after trailers end). i had to pop out, miss some parts of the film and alert staff. Lights were turned off after 20 mins of the movie. A poor experience..
But.. I never learn, i'm a movie buff and go cinemas every month or 2, I still went to this cinema, Because i purchased Vue cineme tickets from Wowcher, I booked tickets the day before, but wanted to watch a different time show, due to change of plans, The movie WASNT Sold out or anything, I was told by staff, the system wont allow it, I spoke to manager Amit, explained all i want to do is watch different show, he told me Tough, Vue have agreed with wowcher, no change allowed once booked. This is the worst policy ive heard, (e.g., i booked 5pm show, but i am early and want to watch 4pm show, but i cant) Amit kept saying oits Wowcher not Vue, But Vue have authorised Wowcher to sell for them, once customers buy the tickets, they get told after the payment, the terms and conditions, i.e. no new films, no international films, no change. etc.
Its a pathetic deal, ive lost money as a result, the manager Amit didnt seem to care, Whomever agreed this deal between Vue and wowcher should get fired. Avoid this cinema. VUE ACTON HAS A HISTORY OF POOR SERVICE

I only go to the cinema when there is a film I particularly want to see. Today I was really looking forward to Hereditary. I arrived for the 17.20 showing and was persuaded to pay extra for VIP seating. Just before the film, a group of 6 or 7 teenagers walked in and went straight to the back. As the screen told us no cameras were allowed they started taking pictures with the flash on, talking loudly, laughing and moving from seat to seat.

I had complained on one previous occasion to Vue about a similar experience and they emailed me back to say that they regularly check the auditorium for this kind of behaviour and that next time I should find a member of staff.

The talking, laughing, photo taking and bright light shining continued when I noticed a member of staff come in to "check", ignore all the behaviour and walk out.

The film was really good, but unfortunately was completely ruined. This group would have periods of interest in the film where it would go quiet only to make stupid noises and talk loudly during the tense, suspenseful parts of the film. I wanted to go and find a member of staff but didn't want to miss any of the film.

Finally I had had enough and walked out to find someone, it took me a few minutes because everyone was busy, I walked back in and totally missed the climax. The members of staff came and sat near the group, but they continued to make the same level of noise.

I chose to see this film at the cinema because I felt the atmosphere would be better than waiting and watching it at home. The atmosphere was totally ruined and Vue didn't help at all. I wanted my money back but I couldn't be bothered to wait, and I felt very uncomfortable because it was clearly me who had alerted the staff....regardless, I will never get the opportunity to watch this film for the first time again.

I do not believe that Vue as an organisation really respect films, otherwise they would understand why this experience is so upsetting. When I complained previously I didn't get a satisfactory response at all, that is why I am not bothering this time and alerting others straight away.

I am British born Chinese lived here all my life, went to cinema with my family to watch Frozen 2. Too many teenagers (ethnic background) look like they have not seen a chinese family. Need educating and their probably their parents too, to respect people where ever their from. What a dodgy place, not worth visiting.

All the Food sales areas were unclean. Dirty counters, filthy floors and could I could actually smell the bins. The popcorn looked and tasted old and food sauces were dripped over appliances and the coke tasted like machine cleaner. A customer dropped her change into the popcorn which was swished around and retrieved and the popcorn was continued to be sold. The premises is generally run down and over priced and reminds me of the old Flea Pit that was demolished in West Ealing. Not likely to visit again!

I visited to watch Once Upon A Time In Hollywood on a Wednesday night, so the cinema was quite quiet. The cinema itself isn't anything impressive, the building seems quite old which doesn't bode well for the screens themselves with the seats and technology behind the times.

I did have to wait a few moments until the two workers finished a conversation to be served ut I'm not a monster so didn't take it personally. I've been in that position and it's good to remember we are just human and aren't always aware of customers waiting. I purchased a large drink and hotdog, which I did have to wait for as he had only just put it on the roller, so I came back 15 mins after buying it, and I must say as far as cinema hotdogs go it wasnt bad at all, soft bun, well cooked sausage and great toppings!

One inside the screen i noticed the floor hadn't been cleaned so still had popcorn on the floor. I sat down and things were going well until 5 or 10 mins into the film and two people came into the screen and sat up the back, talking and laughing rather loudly. Then two others came in and they all moved into the VIP section, from then on they used their phones, commented at a loud volume and were general pains for the 4 others of us trying to watch the movie.

I held on for 30 minutes of the film thinking they may settle down but they were still being ignorant and immature. So instead of getting up and down and turning their gaze towards me who would have "grassed them up" to the staff, so instead of getting involved in a load of drama I chose to leave the screen and hopefully get a refund and try to watch the film another day, at another cinema. Not saying getting up and telling the staff doesn't work because after 2 or 3 times of telling someone to be quiet cinema staff are completely entitled to kick out people who are disturbing a screen, but this time around d I made a decision to just leave.

So the cinema worker who served me earlier was able to give me a refund, which saved the night! I didn't catch his name but he really made the night as I feel like I have lost anything by visiting that site. I was expecting to be told they couldn't offer one but I was pleasantly surprised.

And just to give one last comment on the staff of this site, a group of travellers had taken up residence in the car park outside and after seen some kids stealing and asked then to leave more than once a worker was faced with an adult of the traveller group angry in his face. He was threatened but kept his cool.

I rate the staff of this site on those two points, everything else sucked.

Not saying you will have a bad trip there, but honestly there are better places to go to watch movies in London. Maybe give Vue Acton a miss.

Clean and functional. Booked tickets online so no queuing at the desk. Lots of children at the cinema but all well behaved.

Lots of parking available so makes it an easy cinema to visit
