Great private ride for an experienced rider
Oct 2021 • Solo
Has the most wonderful ride yesterday on Gibson, accompanied by Louis on Oberon. The level of riding has been pitched perfectly thanks to the yard owner, Kirsty having spoken in advance to my friends who had organised this birthday surprise for me. We spent the hour having a nice active walk around the extensive sand trails around Hyde Park, with some gentle trots and a couple of great canters, including one down the famous Rotten Row! Louis was the perfect guide, chatty, friendly and knowledgeable. The horses are clearly very well loved and know exactly what they’re doing and look after their riders well. Big shout out to my horse, Gibson! Thank you Ross Nye for a bucket list ride!

CHECK FIRST
Jul 2021 • Family
Unfortunately for myself I chose to ride at this establishment, early July this year, after reading the positive reviews here. However it seems the majority of these reviews do not understand horses. Luckily for me the horse I was on was not lame, unluckily for the other girls, who seemed to be beginners, their horses could hardly stand on all four legs. I would strongly advise anyone who wishes to ride here to check if their horse is in pain before going out on the trail. . . It seems the owner is oblivious to the pain their horses suffer.
My daughter did love the experience on her pony but it is so sad to see how badly horses can be forced to work for a profit.

A live nearby and had wanted to ride in London for ages. This is without a doubt one of the best experiences I’ve had living here. The staff and horses are amazing and I loved that we got the chance to canter in the park in rotten row. So incredible!

The best thing in London
Feb 2020
I ride here every week as part of pony club along with many other children. all the horses are amazing to ride, kept in very good conditions and well loved by all who have ridden here. all the horses cater to different abilities so every can have a unforgettable experience. The staff as well are all amazing, helping people improve their skill and confidence while also giving customers an in-site to the history of the area and stable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a place to ride in the area, weather for a one off trek or for weekly lessons.

Don’t choose this company!!!!!!!!!!
Jan 2020 • Solo
I would like to warn everybody who think of reserving the horse riding here. When I booked 1 hour horse trekking in Hyde Park by e-mail, one of staff (Kirsty Anthony) replied me. It wasn’t polite…She or He said that I have to visit them 10 minutes before from the actual booking time, so that I can prepare for the riding. When I got there on time, there was no staff and no horses!!!!!! I had to wait for a long time till they came back from the morning walk. Finally, they came back and asked my name, but they didn’t check a booking note or PC, they didn’t manage the reservation. They didn’t even know whether I paid in advance or not. They assigned a grumpy horse to me. I had no choice at all; however the other customer who was British girl could choose a beautiful black calm horse which I wanted to ride. All staff was very kind to her, even though she was new there too. Was it kind of racism? A female instructor who came with me to the park was not nice; there was no conversation, explanation and smile. And she was very bad at taking photos. If you are thinking to have horse riding in Hyde Park, I would highly recommend you ‘Hyde Park Stables’. They are bit expensive than this company, but looks so much better than Ross Nye Stables!!!!! FYI: I have been learning the horse riding for a long time and can speak English, and they knew them.

Great ride through Hyde Park
Nov 2019
My daughter and I both ride at home, and love to book horse experiences when traveling. I researched Ross Nye Stables here on TA before booking and my fellow reviewers did not steer me wrong. Dagmara and Louis were our guides on our private ride where we rode Clifton and Albus. They're located very close to Hyde Park, so it's only a short walk through the street before you reach the park. At home we would never ride in the streets, however, the drivers and people were so respectful of the horses and riders that I never felt unsafe. We got to see one of the queen's carriages in the park as well as the Royal guards with their horses in the park and another set heading to Buckingham palace. We had a great time and my daughter said her favorite part of our entire trip was cantering down Rotton row. No worries if you don't have boots, they can outfit you. We would book again!

Outstanding unforgettable experience

Second visit this year and it was just great or even better this time. Well organized, horses in great condition and fantastic canter down Rotten row. This time booked two days in a row and we were glad we did. Take a look at the video to get a feel.

Great way to enjoy Hyde Park
Oct 2019
We set off on a drizzly morning and had a great time. Since we are not experienced riders, we had a guide who led us on the ride; we even trotted a bit. It was fun riding on century old trails.
The family that runs this stable is very low-key, but efficient, so its easy to ask questions before you arrive via e-mail and, when there, confirm your time. The horses are beautiful and their stables are located conveniently by Hyde Park. This is a hidden gem.
A must do on your visit.

Hyde Park in Autumn
Oct 2019
I have my own horse to ride but wanted to experience a ride like no other I was ever going to have. My friend and I had booked about a month ago with no difficulty at all. All the riders on the day were assessed quickly as to 'rideability' and paired up with appropriate horses. I had the pleasure of taking the lovely Justin who was just a perfect gentleman. As much as I had expected a nose to tail riding school type experience he was happy to go beside, in front or behind which we did a varying stages of the ride. I was paired with Connie and my friend with Nina, both of whom were absolutely lovely and such good company. We had a nice couple of trots and a canter along Rotten Row whilst being recorded by various tourists!!! Cannot recommend this enough to people to try. Well done all of you for producing such happy horses in circumstances that I can only imagine are trying at times.

Wonderful bucket list item
Oct 2019 • Solo
I always wanted to ride down rotten row in Hyde park and finally did it. Wonderful time thanks to Bobbie my guide and Victor my horse.
I have done alot of riding in my life but this was always on my to do list and it was a fun and relaxing way to see the park again and learn about the annual events that take place.
Bobbie was low key but very informative. Victor was very well schooled at following Bobbie. It isn't a ride really but a follow. I did not mind because that was not why I was there.
Enjoyable and relaxing tour of the park.
