I always wanted to ride a horse in London and this time it actually worked out. The booking was easy and fast, i had to arrive 15 minutes prior to the ride in order to fill out the form, state my experience and get the equipment. And off we went. It was such an amazing ride!!! The horses are very well behaved and looked after and the whole experience was everything i wished for and even more. Absolutely unbelievable that you still might use a part of the road in the middle of London in order to get to the park 😊. I was more than comfortable at all times and certainly can recommend this activity to everyone, no matter what previous riding experience you have!

This was part of a surprise Birthday day out for my fiancée and I must say it’s a really fun experience for couples to do together; although I also imagine the experience will be great for groups or solo riders.

I’ve never been on a horse before and my partner hasn’t in many years, but the instructor, Sophie, was exceptionally helpful in her guidance and also was just a lovely person to chat to and clearly has a good relationship with the horses.

We had the first morning slot which meant Hyde park was just waking up and you can appreciate it in a way you rarely get to. There’s something so calming about travelling around Hyde park by horse. Our day happened to coincide with a storm, so it was very rainy when we went out. This initially worried us but actually it did not detract from the experience, and some of the horses clearly enjoyed the puddles! Our horses were George and Ivan, who both had great personalities, and Sophie rode along with Teddy, who was adorable.

All in all, a really great experience and we would thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants a nice outdoor activity in London.

My granddaughters (ages 9 and 11) and I enjoyed a wonderful trek around Hyde Park on well-trained horses (Pippin, Charlie and Chase) with our knowledgeable and helpful guides, Zara and Lexi. It was a memorable experience to walk through the mews, down city streets and into the park. We strolled along the well-maintained sandy bridle path past the Serpentine Lake and spotted members of the queen's calvary exercising along the same trail. We enjoyed a nice trot along the flat bridleway. We savored the final stretch on Rotten Row as we returned to the picturesque setting of Hyde Park Stables. It was a wonderful day!

As an experienced rider this is not worth it. The advertisement, and direct quote from the Hyde Park website, to cater for ‘all experience levels’ is a straight up lie. I have been riding for over 20 years with a wealth of experience under my belt and was under the impression I would have a ride to reflect my experience. However, was left short of this expectation with a tedious walk and trot with two very slow canters. My ‘instructor’ asked to go ahead of me on her pony after he decided to play up a little, refer to picture. I was placed on a lead rope for the initial 10 minutes of riding for the ‘instructor’ to assess my riding ability… I am currently riding pretty much every day on my own horse to this was insulting to say the least. I was asked the last time I was on a lead rein which I honestly cannot answer as it was probably when I was about 6 years old.
The website bangs on about Ellie and her sister Jodie who appear to be ‘international show jumpers’ which means nothing to the lay person and would be better regarded on their own webpage, rather then the Hyde Park Stables page, which in summation caters for beginners and novices at a stretch.
This was booked by my partner as a birthday present and he reassured me he had told the riding stables I was experienced and capable. This was not reflected in the service I received. On arrival you need to select your experience level, however no one views the form and your horse is immediately dragged out for you. If you want the iconic riding stables horse and lethargic stumble around the park then this is the place for you.
The ride was slow, boring and horses were unenthusiastic. If you are looking for something more thrilling than a tiresome plod around Hyde Park, I suggest you avoid at all costs.

Today I had an one-to-one ride led by Zara and the whole experience was great from start to finish. At the stables they made sure I was fully comfortable with the equipment they provided also the horse I was allocated. Zara was so friendly and helpful, knowledgeable of the area and made this a really special experience. Everyone at the stables was friendly and welcoming. For anyone looking for a riding experience whatever your ability I would thoroughly recommend this activity.

This was my first time doing this but it won't be my last. Anyone can do this activity - even people with no horse experience. The riders were me, an 11 year old total beginner, my 9 year old son and his 9 year old friend - both in riding lessons at home, and a 6 year old total beginner. We were all on lead and the horses were completely calm sweethearts. They don't startle at all - motorcycles, birds, dogs, shrieking children on foot... they are so chill. We immediately felt at ease and the instructors were lovely conversationalists and answered all of the kids many questions. What an authentic London activity and a great way to see Hyde Park. The kids loved waving at the onlookers and the view from up high on a horse is magical. We will definitely be back!

Tips: Wear weather appropriate clothing. They will give you a riding hat/helmet and boots, but bring gloves and warm clothes if it's blustery, wear rain gear if it is raining, etc.

My best experience in London and it'll stay up there for a while I think!!!!!!!

Seeing Hyde Park from the back of a Horse is such a different experience I'll recommend to every client as a Concierge!
You really get to create a bond with the horse.
For my first ride for 15 years, I had the chance to ride with Ivan who was an amazing horse and I look forward to riding with him again.

Sophie my instructor has been lovely and figured out my level very well, she then offered me to do a bit of trotting which was very cool!
All the staff were welcoming, it is and really felt like a family business that I'm sure will strive!
I'll come back as soon as I can and you should not hesitate.

Candi & Sophie were excellent mounted tour guides! What an amazing way to see the park. My friend has been on a horse just a few times but felt confident enough to try and start posting the trot. I have a horse and felt appropriately matched on the cutest Cobb. So whether you’re a beginner or more experienced they can tailor the experience to completely match your expectations. Plus both ladies gave us excellent tips on other things to do. Recommend whole heartedly for singles or families. One of the best spent hours this trip!!! Thank you!

Thankyou for a lovely ride, seeing Hyde Park on horseback is a wonderful experience.
The staff are all lovely and friendly, myself and my friend Jo rode Charlie and Ivan who were faultless and nothing bothered them, our lovely instuctor was lovely and chatty and telling us all about the park and surroundings ( really sorry forgotten her name)
All in all a wonderful experience and would highly recommend everybody come and try this.
Thankyou to all the staff and horses for our lovely afternoon.

Booked a private ride mid February after always wanting to ride in London. I've been riding for 20 years and when you book it asks to state riding experience but really it doesnt need to do this. Although it was really lovely to ride in Hyde Park, the ride itself was not fun at all. There was one short trot and the rest was all done at a walk. I was at least expecting to canter or trot for longer. The horse was lovely but very lazy and seemed a bit bored of his job. Nice experience but I do not think I will do this again. Almost £150 for a glorified pony trek. At least the weather was nice
