The perfect weekend gateway

This was the perfect gateway from our busty family life. The services exceeded our expectations and my wife and I are actually planning the second visit. It was like one of those experiences you could never have enough of. The food was great, especially the cheese cake, and the vibe is unmatched. Just lovely.

Absolutely fantastic day.

Went to Pica Pica earlier this month with my wife and two daughters as a joint birthday present and it was absolutely fantastic. I was surprised to discover we were going to someone's house to cook and not in a restaurant but Helen was lovely and her kitchen was amazing with lots of room for all.
We were given recipies to follow and divided in pairs. We were the ones doing all the prep and mixing and cooking while Helen kept a watchful eye and gave advice and help when needed. We cooked four dishes between us and also made some bread. Everything was made with the freshest ingredients, which Helen had provided, and tasted delicious.
All in all we had a great time cooking authentic tapas but eating it was definitely the best bit.
I would highly recommend this experience to everyone who is interested in learning new ways and styles of cooking. Helen is a great teacher and very welcoming. It was just like cooking at a friend's house.
We loved it. Thank you Helen for a great day.

Great fun, great food!

We so enjoyed our tapas class with Helen, our very patient chef/tutor. She taught us how to cook dishes that look complicated and impressive, but which are really simple and quick to prepare. I was amazed at how easy it was to make a delicious garlic mayonnaise using the technique Helen showed us, and a yummy tomato bread. Clams in white wine and garlic, chorizo in a rich marsala sauce and patatas bravas were all on the menu and we ate what we had cooked for lunch, accompanied by glasses of a very good Rioja and a sparkling Spanish white. This was a brilliant birthday present and excellent value for money.

A group of us booked the class for a friends birthday and had an absolute blast! Cooked using fresh ingredients and good equipment. Helen was great, super patient and helpful. We made really good food and lots of it. You get to take a pamphlet with the recipes and methods so you can try it at home too! Would recommend for pairs and groups.

Great dishes, great host

We had booked a tapas class for 4 people and had a great time.

From my first enquiry, Helen was responsive and flexible - it took us some time to find a suitable date and agree on a menu between 2 couples .
Helen's kitchen is beautiful and spacious and she made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived.
Helen explained the dishes and different steps involved in an easy to follow way while also having chats about the area, local shops, food and wine troughout our class. The food was absolutely delicious and taking the recipes home means we can easily replicate them.
We ended the class sitting in the sunshine in Helen's garden, eating the last bits of our dishes and enjoying a glass of wine.
Overall, the afternoon felt like cooking with a friend who knows what they are doing. I can highly recommend it.

Anna and me stayed a wonderful day cooking with Helen. We learnt new way and tasty of cooking some feeds. And in my case, I took advantage of the rest of people was English to improve my English. I love that kitchen! Definitively, 100% recommended! Thanks Helen.

We had a fun time making Tapas with Helen. Ingredients were fresh and organic. Helen was such a great teacher. She was patient and made cooking fun. I Would definitely recommend you going to Pica Pica.

This was a fun birthday surprise from my friends. Helen made my friends and I feel very at ease. Despite being tapas novices it was a stress free environment filled with many bouts of laughter. Helen guided us through the steps and with encouragement everyone was very hands on; the food came out great too; Would definitely recommend!

Great class with a warm and welcoming host

My husband and I had a great time cooking some tasty tapas under Helen's expert guidance. From the outset she made us feel welcome in her home and were greeted with a delicious Spanish hot chocolate. The recipes are solid authentic classic dishes made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients that i gained confidence to cook again at home. It was great to share our culinary creations and eat together over several glasses of wine. I'd certainly recommend this relaxed class to others.
