Zari Gallery in Fitzrovia’s Newman Street promotes art ‘beyond borders’ with reference to a manifesto. This proclaims it has a diverse, inclusive and worldly selection of artists. These include Anthony Christian who paints fleeing and fleeting figures nude beneath their togas, Robert John who paints minute figures atop angular rooftops of vast modern buildings, and Yurim Gough who makes pots which double up as commodes and bells. The current exhibition is by Marion Farnon Christian, you’ve guessed it, the wife of Anthony, called Tying Secrets to Poetry. She creates abstract images tied to the natural world including a painting of a ceramic chicken. Whether this exhibition of her works might lay her a golden egg remIns to be seen.

Welcoming Gallery with interesting selection
Nov 2016 • Friends
This Gallery is a must see in London. Very friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, feels like "home" rather than a gallery. Ask to be added to their mailing list, they have many fantastic events with good wine and bite to eat. Highly recommended!
