What a beautiful piece of architectural wonder! 132 year old Victorian bridge. One of two in the world. Lovely walking a rose with some views. It is the bridge that is the star,

I really like this bridge, which is open for pedestrians and cyclists only - a beautiful, quiet place which lets you cross the river and enjoy the views. The bridge itself is beautiful - hopefully it will be repaired but kept closed for cars.

At present closed to traffic whilst repairs are being contemplated, although accessible by bike or walking, this iconic bridge (designed by engineer, Joseph Bazalgette) dominates this part of the river and a classic landmark along the Thames path. Now also a Grade 2 listed structure, meaning it should be earmarked for a full restoration. Walk across, do a bit of the path one one bank, cross at another bridge and return along the other bank for a good afternoon's stroll. Being closed, it does mean virtually no traffic on the roads either side, which is lovely!

Sadly closed, not only to road vehicles but even bicycles and pedestrians, causing chaos on the surrounding roads. Even boats are now banned from passing underneath. A victim of decades of neglect and poor maintenance. A beautiful and iconic structure which has been allowed to go to rack and ruin. Shame on the London authority, the mayor and the government.

The bridge is undergoing much needed major engineering maintenance , it is a iconic bridge and a must see when you are in Hammersmith.

This bridge is a really beautiful one - I really enjoyed walking it as it's currently closed for everyone except pedestrians so it was very quiet and you can stop on your way to enjoy the scenery.

Nice looking Victorian structure but no longer fit for purpose and is closed for years to come. Little has been done to mitigate the consequences for residents. Forget the past. Pull it down and start again with a modern bridge..

Hammersmith Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans 210 across the River Thames in Hammersmith. Nothing special, but it does have some interesting Art Deco elements and painted in an interesting shade of Green.

The views over the river are amazing especially as it overlooks the banks that have been developed into office blocks. The sunrise/sunsets of the bridge are amazing.

Not a must see, but worth a small detour if in the area.
