A pleasant spot to enjoy a rest!
Jun 2019
One afternoon, we had been to visit the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth. Once we had completed our tour of the museum, we were feeling a bit weary and we were faced with a long journey back to our hotel in Paddington. Consequently, we decided to find somewhere to enjoy a short rest before heading off to catch the tube back to Paddington. This was when we discovered the Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park located right next to the museum’s grounds.
The park turned out to be a nice spot to rest for 30 minutes or so before heading off to the Lambeth North tube station.
It was a very warm afternoon and there were plenty of shady trees in the park which provided ample shade from the hot sun. There were park benches available to sit on in the shade. Had we needed them, there were also picnic tables and benches located in the park. There was also an ample amount of grassed areas for anyone who wanted to stretch out on the grass.
We certainly appreciated what this nice park had to offer. It was certainly an ideal spot to take a bit of time out!

Located near the amazing and somber Imperial War Museum and a good place to relax after visiting there.

Beautiful park setting and host to the Imperial War Museum and Tibetan Peace Garden
Sep 2016 • Solo
This beautiful park with broad swaths of grass and huge shady trees surrounds the Imperial War Museum and offers beautiful flower beds, sculptures, There is also a children's playground and a section where people can play with their dogs off-leash.

I came here on the way to the Imperial War Museum and wish that I had allocated more time for the park - it was truly beautiful and very inviting on a warm sunny day.

Clean toilets are located in the Cafe.
