The statue itself is not especially impressive however the cast plaques on the 4 sides that give an insight into the role of this person are quite beautiful and incredibly detailed.

The bronze statue of Edward Smith-Stanley, 14th Earl of Derby is located at Parliament Square. He was a British statesman and three times Prime Minister. His statue is depicted wearing the robes of the Chancellor of Oxford University.

Bronze statue depicting Edward Smith Stanley the son of Lord Stanley, 14th Earl of Derby. Located in Parliament Square. You could spend an afternoon looking at all the statues and monuments in this vicinity.
