Welcome to North London Wine School! We run wine tastings and courses for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. If you know what you like and want to find out why, our courses provide the answer. We also run regular WSET qualifications and bespoke private events.

Beth is a great wine teacher full of enthusisam for the subject which made the course fun, friendly and approachable for all. Beth's knowledge of wine goes far beyond the course.
I went on the WSET Level 2 course over 3 saturdays. The spacing between each lesson was ideal for my busy weekday schedule which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the course. We tasted a lot of wines and the discussions with the group were always fruitful and informative.
The course has a multiple choice exam at the end of which Beth made sure we all had time to revise and came up with fun exercises to test our knowledge before sitting the exam on the final Saturday.
Thank you Beth and look forward to another wine course at your school in the near future.

Back in the days BC (before Covid), I did the 8-week intro to wine course with Beth at the NLWS and it was brilliant! I learnt so much over the 8 weeks and met some lovely people too. More recently I did Beth's fine wine tasting one evening with some friends - also another great experience. Beth is so knowledgeable, could answer all our questions, and presents all the info in a way that's really easy to engage with - plus the wine was excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough! Hope to do another one soon.

North London Wine School and in particular Beth are tremendous. Had a brilliant tour of French wines. Beth is super knowledgeable and provided us (two people with less than ideal wine experience) with brilliant advice. All the more impressive given it was all done over zoom.

I have completed the 8 week introduction to wine course and a couple of individual tasting sessions at North London Wine School, Beth is a great tutor, very welcoming and knowledgeable, and the evenings are great fun in a relaxed environment, it’s been a nice way to meet new people, and not in the least bit intimidating - I’ve learnt so much, I’ve even found some white wines I actually like, which I didn’t think was possible! All in all, a great experience, I’ve missed the Thursday night tastings since the course finished, so no doubt I will find a reason to go back for more!

Have just done a Saturday wine tasting with champagne and lunch at the North London Wine School. I'm not a wine aficionado but have always wanted to know more about different types of wine, and the differences between them. Which I certainly got from this day's wine tasting. We were a small group that particular day, so there was a nice friendly atmosphere. Beth, the tutor, was excellent - informative, friendly, fluent, enthusiastic, and so knowledgeable about all aspects of wine. She has many years of practical experience in the industry, and has visited lots of the wine producing places around the world that we talked about, so could answer absolutely any question anyone had during the day. We tasted some 6 white wines and 7 reds, of various types and countries, so that's pretty good going! I definitely enjoyed the day, and would recommend it for anyone who wants to know more about wine, in a friendly convivial atmosphere with an excellent tutor.

I've just completed an eight week course, tasting over 50 wines from all over the world in every imaginable style. At the end of the course I have learned to appreciate aspects of wine that I hadn't thought about before. I have a far greater knowledge of wine - how it's made, why wines can taste so differently, and why some wines are better than others. Most of all, I now feel more confident about assessing a wine and articulating what I feel about it.
What makes this course, though, is Heidi's fun, irrepressible style of tutoring - the perfect combination of teaching and having fun. Will be back for more.

Would thoroughly recommend this! Heidi was brilliant - we all learnt so much about wine and had such a good time doing so! Heidi was lovely and imparted all her knowledge in such a relaxed, informative way. Used the day as our wedding wine tasting and invited both sets of parents, but it could be done as a couple, with mates or with family.

We did the 4 week intro to wine course online with Beth and absolutely loved it! Such an incredible way to be introduced into the world of wine, with an amazing selection of wines. Beth's knowledge and willingness to explain and answer all of our questions was much appreciated :) doing it virtually was also such an great lockdown activity, would highly recommend!
