Address
Neighborhood: Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.

A visit to the historic Hyde Park Chapel in London
Jul 2018 • Couples
We visited the Chapel for the first time while in London. It sits in the middle of the museum district of London. We were welcomed and allowed to see the small interior first floor of the build. A senior missionary couple told us the history of the chapel, how the family who owned the site had family memorials who were killed on the site during a bombing in WW II. We also learned that the church uses the term "Cultural Hall" in all of it's buildings because of this site. Something we had not known.

My husband is an organist and knew about the pipe organ in the building. They allowed him to play it while we were there. That was a great treat!

Very pleasant staff who gave us lots of information about the history of the church in London!

See just what some people have done in the UK over the years
Apr 2017 • Family
This visitors centre is designed to show to the public, the history and functioning of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United Kingdom over the past 160 years or so. A very interesting and moving visit indeed.

A Quick Bit of History about Mormons in the UK
Dec 2016
I stopped in here because of the beautiful Christus statue in the corner window. It is a replica of one in a church in Denmark and a smaller version of one in the visitor's center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The missionaries that greeted me were so friendly. They took me on a quick tour of the building and gave me some history of how this chapel came to be. There are few quick videos you can choose to watch and they are happy to answer any questions you might have about the church and it's teachings. This is a great stop on your way to the V and A or Natural History museums.
