Dear sir I wanted to write you you to send an extra special thank you to Hayley and Josh who were supervising the ice rink this morning. For months my 4 year old daughter has been badgering me to take her ice skating. This weekend I finally planned the trip which I approached with an ever increasing air of trepidation. You see, my daughter is 4 and I am a 53 year old man who deliberately packed 75 years of life in my body before I turned 40. As it is, there was more chance of me laying a golden egg and solving the global deficit than there was of me “walking on ice” with my daughter. Needless to say, with hope of a miracle and expecting to make a claim on my life insurance today I brought my daughter to your ice rink. Well, the miracle was Hayley and Josh who, on realising that my little girl's dreams were about to be crushed, along with half of your customers, the moment I stepped on the ice, offered to take Josie round the ice rink a couple of times whilst I watched on from the sidelines in the comfort of my trainers (which have no blades). With this is mind, would you please extend an extra special thank you to your staff for going the extra mile. It really was appreciated. My daughter has now decided she wants to have proper lessons and so we shall be booking those very soon. I can then do what I am best at, which is watch from the sidelines and drink your coffee. Thank you so very much to your staff for stepping in and making my girl’s dream come true today. John Dunning

This sports facility has so much to offer, especially the ice rink. Complimentary to the numerous sports offering is a well-run cafeteria, with a good selection of food to keep the athletes well fed! The ice rink is well maintained and hosts ice skating competitions on a fairly regular basis.

Visited on Tuesday with my 2 granddaughters, aged 5 & 3. 3 year old was not sure & didn’t really want to go in the ice. Hayley, working on the ice rink, was lovely & couldn’t have been more helpful. Didn’t manage to get my granddaughter on the ice, but not for the want of trying. Hayley was attentive to everyone there & excellent at her job. Thank you Hayley.

Visited on a Saturday morning to do the public skate. The ice was in terrible condition and made skating really difficult. There was actually a child making snowballs on the rink which shows just how bad the condition of the ice was. Totally understand that the surface gets damaged the more people skate on it but we got there at 10am so it's not like the ice had been pure skated on beforehand. They just obviously don't maintain it very well.

Haven't been since I was young and took my children today and had a brilliant time. All kids and adults had a great time. Would like to say thank you to all the catering staff who helped find food that my daughter could eat with her being celiac. Fantastic day
