Didn’t get a chance to visit the original store, but popped into here as was staying nearby... What a great bookshop for a train station! The selection was vast and excellent, the staff (a young brunette, didn’t get her name) lovely. After experiencing many mediocre offerings at airports and the like, I am so impressed by Hatchards and their efforts to produce a true branch at St Pancras.

Great franchised store, (bigger store on regents street) at St Pancras. I always buy a book , or order, when visiting. little cafe outside away from the bustle with good coffee. Always good service and a HUGE range of reading... Neighbours to fortnum and mason so perfect location!

I almost didn't review this as it is such a hidden gem, but we had a cup of tea here whilst waiting for Eurostar and it was amazing. Very reasonable price for an individually brewed cup of tea - service to the table, and after all the rip-off prices we had found in St. Pancras it was a life-saver. Not only that but they had fantastic books too (it is a book store)! Well worth bearing in mind for a brilliant cuppa.

Stopped here while awaiting train to Inverness ... Nice location .. Music from the piano and plenty of people watching. Good selection of books and bought the one I wanted.
Decided to have a cup of tea. Well priced at £1.80 for real tea leaves. However not enough water a little strong., didn't have time to ask for more water. Not really a big issue though. Worth a quiet 5.

Hatchards St Pancras is the most delightful bookshop with knowledgeable, bookish shop assistants who are young, friendly and helpful. The book displays are enticing and attractive. The shop covers all subjects in surprising comprehensiveness given the small size of the shop. The shop has 2 entrances - one straight into books, the other into a niche selection of gifts, books and memorabilia on London and St Pancras Station itself, games and notebooks, light-hearted humorous books and postcards, souvenirs and teatowels.
Moreover, you can buy a coffee, or even get a free one if you purchase a book, and enjoy it at one of the bijou tables outside with their little pots of flowers and menu of teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits you could also indulge in. People watch as tourists arrive from Paris or Brussels, commuters surge off the Underground returning to the Home Counties or the Midlands. Read your new book to the accompaniment of a stray pianist playing one of the pianos dotted along the mall. Sitting at a coffee table in St Pancras is to become part of the multicultural city of London itself, but sitting at a coffee table at such a beautiful bookshop makes the experience one of complete happiness.
Hatchards St Pancras is in the corner of the main, ground floor, shopping mall in this wonderful station of myriad delights, past the Eurostar check-in, next to Fortnum and Mason, and before you reach the entrance to the Underground (Metropolitan and Circle lines). Don't miss it.
