A really great tour. Just ended up with the 2 of us on it. Jess was amazing!! Really great to see all of the backstage parts. Generally a must do tour for anyone visiting London. Great value for money.

Booking a Backstage Tour at the National Theatre is more than worth the money! I had the unexpected "luxury" of having my very own personal tour guide for this experience since no one else showed up for my time slot (on 1st May). Hence the...More

Loved this tour of the National Theatre a couple of weeks ago. Very informative and friendly guide gave us all of the details that we asked for, and many that we wouldn't have thought to ask about. The tour can be customised depending on what...More

This is such a great idea- a backstage tour themed around a particular show- in this case, Follies. It is recommended that you have previously seen the show before you do the tour, but the tour starts before the evening performance ends, so you wouldn’t...More

Last night I went on the After Lights Down Backstage tour. Our Guide for the tour was Rupert, who was very friendly, cheerful as well as very informative. The tour included the various backstage departments involved in the production of Follies that is currently running...More

Thanks, Jill, for joining one of our Saturday morning Costume Tours. As you saw, there are many elements that come together not just for creating costumes, wigs and props for productions but also the maintenance, repair, alternations - not to mention the laundry and dry...More

I feel like I missed something here - pretty much every review for this is great! But I didn't really get anything out of this. The tour involves sitting in the seats of a couple of theatres between shows and having some explanation of the...More

Thank you for posting your review - I'm sorry to read that visit felt underwhelming. There's always a balance to be found in scheduling a tour : for a time slot that gives access to the spaces when there's no performance but when there is...More

A tour behind the scenes with our bubbly, enthusiastic guide Sophie. Who would have guessed that there are 1000 people on the production staff for scenery, costumes, props, sound and lighting . The purpose built Olivier has a hole in the stage that is 25...More
