Visited recently during a weekend trip to London. The venue is steeped in music history and the bar is lively and a great place to spend a little time. I decided to eat before heading off so ordered the jerk beef short rib. The bar was busy but not overly so. I waited, waited, waited and watched as customers that... More

Traveled to London to watch my friends band play and was impressed with the venue it was well maintained and looked like it has just been refurbished. The only thing i wasn't impressed with was the Sound guy who only seemed interested in talking to his friend rather than concentrating on the bands needs while setting up and playing. Ive... More

Great bar with super beer (& suprisingly good wine selection). Good bar food as well. We had simple burger, but hand made & a real treat. Great music venue (still has concerts & a theatre). Lots of history, simply read wall memorabilia.

I visited the bar/music venue last night, all the staff were highly professional, polite and helpful. Special mention to the lovely member of staff who was working in the bar downstairs, who despite being under pressure served everyone promptly and with a smile on her face. Well run venue with a very good team, (including the security team) will be... More

Came for the theatre which was outstanding!....but....ordered a pint of Amstel which genuinely tasted like it was half diluted with water. Took it to the bar again and informed the barmaid very kindly that it was flat(which it absolutely was)...only to be told that "that's how Amstel is"...hmmmmm...really? I informed her that Amstel is my beer of choice when I... More

Booked a table here for tomorrow, or thought I had, via the website. There is a specialist bookings page on the website which says: We love organised people, so you're already one step ahead of the pack. Whether there's two or ten of you, we make it our duty to have the perfect space ready at any time to suit... More

I was looking for a place to eat nearby the Islington Assembly Hall before a gig, this seemed one of the cheapest options. Reasonably priced, good pub grub, good selection of drinks on offer from what I saw, and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Spotted that it also acts as a theatre too but didn't know it's a live music venue... More
