Watched the musical in Manchester and was entertained by some amazingly talented children who were on stage a lot of the time. It felt a little bit too long for me at 3 hours the dance scenes were brilliant but it could have been cut a little. I was expecting some of the songs from the film but they weren't... More

We walked out of Billy Elliot at the Palace Theatre tonight, half way through. So much talent on that stage... the dancing, the design, the acting , the singing... all going to waste, because the overall message of the script is very snide, peculiar and creepy. Very creepy. Made all the more creepy because children are being used to promote... More

Thought it was fantastic Emile who played Billy was phenomenal.Favourite part was where the adult Billy dances with him ,loved that sequence. There is a lot of swearing I'm no prude but the children swear a lot so it's as well to know beforehand more than in the film and more than I remember kids swearing in the 70s but still... Spectacular! The best musical ever! I have seen so many musicals, but this is the best. The production, set and actors are top. I cried, laughed and have never felt so moved by such a powerful performance. Wonderful.

Absolutely phenomenal. The acting, singing and dancing was perfection. The mix of dancing and acting entwined with powerful lyrics and music. The best musical I have seen, hands down. And we have seen a fair few! Could watch this over and over again.

I had forgotten that the background was the miners strike and the language was a bit choice - but thats the nature of the show and for a musical it brought home all the angst and drama of that time. All the actors were good, but it was spoilt for me by being at least 40 mins too long. It... More

Unfortunately Billy Elliot is no longer in the west end and is touring round the country but it is a must see. In fact I am going to book tickets on the tour just so I can see it again. My mum had been telling me for years that I would love Billy Elliot but I was adamant that I... More

Well after I couldn't wait to see if was soon deflated. 3hours long ,boring and drawn out with nother one tune from the movie was being played So if your thinking ride a white swan, town called malice, London calling will liven it up ...it doesn't which is real shame some the crowd needed it rather than sitting bored for 3... Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
