Address
Neighborhood: Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

This is the fake store!! We also had to visit the store but after coming home, we immediately put on the movie and found out that the store looks nothing like the one in the movie. There is a street with an arch to the left, and it is on the main road, Portobello road, while this shop was in a side street. Very disappointed that we believed this is the real one and not a fake. Bummer!

No customer service! Rude and insolent staff! Although they were chatting and doing nothing, they seemed disturbed by daring to be asked if they can help to wrap 3 books in one gift!
I used to enjoy their “Blind date “book and gift my family with these ones( and they were wrapped!…so it’s possible)…but I will take my initiative round the corner to a nicer shopping experience!
Absolutely unexpected poor service after all these years enjoying this local bookstore!!!

This book shop was the inspiration for the “travel book shop” in the movie Notting Hill. It looks just like the inside of the shop in the movie, however this is not the location the book shop was in for filming of the movie. That location is a souvenir shop 1 street over. You can take your picture out front and if you are fan of the movie you will really enjoy it.

The bookshop is even tinier than it looks in the movie, so you might not linger to browse. However there is a bench outside by the window where you can sit and take pictures. Just be aware that over the weekend there are usually already a few tourists taking pictures, so you may have to wait your turn.

The shop itself was very cute and it had a certain homely feel to it. There were quite a few people inside, but that was expected. I would definitely come back again!

Visited the bookstore on a literary themed photoshoot, but we had such an excellent time browsing the shelves and found some excellent classics as well as some exciting new reads. It's a little small and cramped, but was nice enough. Didn't manage to bag myself a Hugh Grant, but there's always next time!

I love those little bookstores where you can look around and go out with 10 books! They have a great selection - also for young adults.
