Saturday silliness and fun!
Oct 2021
Movie-nights and Saturday night afterparties are excuses for the best sort of wild madness, the excuse to find the inner child. Great people having fun in a historic venue being preserved by being a place of continuing entertainment. A place to be silly and not embarrassed, people often coming in crazy costumes, singalongs, confetti confusions and balloons dropping from the ceiling in the best of party atmosphere.

I've taken work-friends before now and all have enjoyed it.

Not enough staff for event, complete let down
Oct 2021 • Friends
Absolutely abysmal night, me and my friend went for a Halloween Alice and wonderland event but there was hardly any Alice and wonderland references at all on this night aside from one guy on stage dressed as a rabbit. Me and my friend were expecting a way grander show. Minimal probs and the music wasn’t halloweeny at all.

The worst part of the night was the hour queue to get a drink, they were so short staffed for the amount of people there. I completely lost my buzz after that. Once I got up there and ordered my cocktail ‘strawberry daiquiri’ it came from a bottle and was not freshly made. This was practically undrinkable. I couldn’t finish it, it was the worst cocktail I had ever had. I left shortly after and went to McDonald’s which was for sure the highlight of the night. It’s safe to say I won’t be returning and I won’t be recommending to any of my mates.

'The Greatest Brunch' event
Oct 2021
Location: The location was advertised as central London, it was actually 35 minutes away from central London.

Food: The example menu was advertised as beef sliders and Belgium Waffles with fresh Strawberries and Strawberry Coulis. We actually received a graze box with a bagel and a croissant which were both stale. Also a squished brownie in a prepackaged box for dessert.

Performance: Although the performers were great, there were no aerial performers or snake like in the promotional video.

Bottomless drinks: we were placed on a table with two strangers of whom we were forced to share the bottles of prosecco with when they came out, this is uncomfortable to share a bottle with strangers

For £65pp for this event I would not recommend, you can get much more value for money and better service at other places in London.

Greatest Show Brunch - overall event was disappointing
Oct 2021
Attended the greatest showman brunch on Sat. Would only recommend this event for a large group who want to party! Sat in the balcony area which had tables of 2. Was then told 2 more people would be joining us . We werent happy to have 2 unknown people join us on a table that was only big enough for 2 people especially with covid safety precautions. Our table was the only table being turned into a table for 4. We complained and was told we would have to wait until everyone turned up to see if there were any spare seats !!!!! As it turned out these 2 people didnt show but we got no confirmation from the staff. Waited an hour before receiving the prosecco. Cocktails were advertised as being included (misleading). This turned out to be a jug of gin no other options. Told we had to use the same glasses as our prosecco so couldnt have any until we had emptied our glasses !!!! Bizarre Food was luke warm but to be expected in a large venue where the kitchen must be miles away from the balcony area. Desert was served just as the show started which seemed odd as we had been sitting at our table for over 2 hours so plenty of time to serve 2 courses. It was distracting to be served food once the show had started. The show was fairly good, the singers were very good although a strange mix of songs, not just greatest showman songs. Also people were just sitting chatting very loudly throughout the show so very distracting. Overall disappointed in this event and wouldnt really recommend.

A Grand night out
Oct 2021 • Solo
Two great music shows at the wonderful Clapham Grand. Police Dog Hogan playing great tunes on Wednesday and last night Sleeper Q&A and set of stripped back songs. Venue is great with a good view of the stage and atmosphere friendly. Always enjoy my nIghts out at the grand whether I am with a group or on my own. Keep doing a great job all at the Grand see you soon.

HONESTLY one of the best! I've never had a bad night, the staff are always lovely and the whole vibe of the room is awesome! Movie screenings, drag shows, sing a longs and just to go Out Out dancing I cant think of a better place!

if you like glitter, booze and confetti cannons - you've found your people!

The best venue in SW London
Jul 2021
I have been to two shows in the last couple of weeks ..the reopening live music event with Beans on Toast and Frank Turner it was fantastic to see live music as it should be - great atmosphere, great venue, good times. This was after the rule change however respect was the order of the day and the tone set by the staff was very good in my opinion. Later the same week Comedy with Dave Gorman which was a socially distance show - really enjoyed the clever comedy by Dave and his guests. The Grand provides great varied entertainment with atmosphere and fun friendly staff.

Fantastic live music venue
Jul 2021 • Friends
Went to see Frank Turner for one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Saw him last just before the first lockdown so seeing him as a first gig after was a great bookend. The staff at the grand were all so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was great and it felt amazing to be out enjoying live music again. Well done Clapham Grand. You smashed it!
