What an awesome day. We met up with Jenny (our guide) at the Bowie Memorial in Brixton. She was passionate about her job as well as knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subject - David Bowie. With likeminded individuals it was about 2 hours indulging in Bowie memories. Went with my friend who I first saw Bowie with many years ago. A great experience and some new interesting facts learned 🎵

We took the short trip to Brixton to see the Mural that everyone was talking about...yes David Bowie, aka, Ziggy Stardust. It was very easy to find, literally right across the street from The Tube exit/entrance. The only thing that detracted from going to see the mural, was the fact that the Tube was station was closed to entering riders, so we had to take the bus back to Stockwell to catch the Tube back to where we were going. All in all, definitely a must see if you’re a Ziggy Stardust fan!!

David Bowie was a British musician who was originally from Brixton. There is a memorial for him which is really easy to find. If you are coming to Brixton via the Tube then leave the Tube station and cross Brixton High Street. Walk a few metres down the road and the mural is to your left.
It has been covered over with a plastic panel but it is lovely to read all the messages people have put up about the Thin White Duke.
When I visited there were flowers there and people have put up messages, stickers and photos.
If you are a fan I would recommend a visit.

As we are Bowie’s fans, my friend and I decided to visit it. We took the tube from London Centre, Russell Square, it took us about 20 mins to get there. The murales is covered by a glass, so if the sun’s shining it’s not that easy to take pictures. But it’s worth a visit. It’s in front of the tube station, you can’t get lost. We didn’t visit Brixton anyway coz we didn’t feel safe.

We visited this memorial which is just off Brixton Road and close to the station. It is a good mural but was a little underwhelmed by it to be honest. A good price of artwork though and worth checking g out when in the area. Unless you are a Bowie fan I would not suggest making a special trip.

One of the reasons we came to Brixton was to see this great memorial of the genius that was David Bowie. A surreal experience.

This informal memorial is all about David Bowie in a Brixton context - roots. This is a must for us fans and of interest to all visitors to London. The flowers keep coming too. The inscriptions might swamp the art one day but at present are part of this informal tribute. After your visit listen to Lorde's heartfelt live tribute song on u-tube!!!

Modest small colourful mural behind Perspex which makes photos difficult. Located across the road from Brixton tube station. The house where he was born is a 5 minute walk away at 40 Stansfield Road.

Easy to find. Exit from Brixton tube station and it is directly opposite.
Very well 'drawn', evoking the period when he created the Ziggy persona.
Thank you.

Such an amazing and beautiful memorial. I applaud the ones who has made this and it's such an important thing that it is in Brixton.
