- tammie f15 contributionsGreat tour and guidesI brought my 15yr old son for his bday. We had guides mark and lenny who were lovely they really included all the guests and gave us all info we needed. The only bit I was disappointed with was in the stadium all the professional photo opps were closed. But would def recommrndVisited December 2022Traveled with familyWritten December 20, 2022

- TravelingSoccerLoonSaint Paul, Minnesota3,188 contributionsWatching a Match at Anfield is Like a Spiritual ExperienceBiased review as I've been a lifelong LFC fan even though born in the States thanks to my father and family being scousers. I have had the privilege of watching Liverpool FC on several occasions when visiting the city and am always blown away by the atmosphere and passion in the stadium. Standing in the Kop and singing You'll Never Walk Alone made the hair on the back of my head stand up and nearly brought me to tears. Make sure you arrive early to soak up the atmosphere outside of the stadium as well including seeing the Shankly Gates and the Hillsborough Memorial. Also try to cram into the Albert Pub next to the stadium before or after the match for a pint. Nearly impossible to get a match ticket unless you know a season ticket holder. Although expensive, they do offer hospitality packages which we had to do one visit and although this is nothing like standing on the Kop, this was still a good experience.Visited September 2022Written February 19, 2023

The Stadium is currently under development and the capacity is being increased at the Anfield Road end of the stadium. The atmosphere for this fixture was excellent and the Kop was in full volume as the game was a thriller!Visited March 2023Traveled with friendsWritten March 8, 2023

All of the staff were amazing, particularly the head bar man (wish I had got his name but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind me saying he was a young scouse lad with ginger hair) also a couple of older guys who I could only describe as lounge hosts, couldn’t do enough to make our time there lovely. - holiday0303Munich, Germany150 contributionsA great visit with the self-guided tour and for sure a "not to be missed"We made the self-guided audio tour and were impressed. It was so informative. All the staff was very friendly, helpful and with a lot of knowledge. We also appreciated that we could do the tour as self-guided tour as we could take all the time we needed to look and listen without being rushed through. The audio guide tour itself is very well done with a lot of information, videos, music, photos. Even our kid who usually is not too attentive with "tours" was stuck with it. I also want to mention how clean and well maintained everything was.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 3, 2023
- Régis GauthierRennes, France34 contributionsDream come trueam a lifelong Liverpool fan, so visiting Anfield Stadium was a dream come true for me. I had been to many football stadiums before, but Anfield was different. It felt like I was stepping into history. I arrived at Anfield early on a matchday, and the atmosphere was already electric. The streets around the stadium were full of fans, all wearing red and singing songs. I could feel the excitement in the air. I made my way into the stadium and was amazed by its size and grandeur. The Kop is an iconic stand, and it was incredible to see it in person. I could see the passion in the faces of the fans, and I knew that I was in for a special experience.Visited May 2023Traveled with friendsWritten September 10, 2023

Amazing views of the pitch from the room. Food was excellent - terrine starter with wafer thin toast was a tasty little snackerel. Beef main was excellent. A slab of beautifully cooked steak. Similar size of pulled beef. Huge yorkshire pud. And a medium sized pud. Then a cheesecake in a glass to finish. Vino was good if a little pricey. Staff were helpful and friendly all through. A little keen to remove half glasses & bottles. Had to resist their urging a few times. And then downstairs for the madness that is Bongos Bingo. Crazy evening.Visited September 2023Traveled on businessWritten September 15, 2023

Really great food to purchase with lots of options for 7 pounds per dish. Friendly staff. We had a really great time.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 18, 2023

We visited during the school holidays and it was packed, despite pre booking online the queues were huge. We stood in line for over 40 mins before getting into the building to queue to get to the desk and check in and then queue to get your audio tour. The tour itself is self guided with a small screen and headphones that tell you about the different parts of the stadium. When we visited last time it was a week day and we got a guide to take us around which I think is much better, from the website it says these are still avail eat certain times. You get to see the pitch and changing rooms as well as the whole stadium from the top of the seating area. There is also a museum that gives you history of the team. It is a must see for any Liverpool fan but I would seriously consider the timing of your visit.

We attended Eagles concert on 20th June , we paid over £200 for tickets , therefore expected an enjoyable evening . Unfortunately this was ruined by an incredibly , loud , disrespectful and drunk family sitting in the row behind us . They were constantly knocking into us and spilling drink , they had no interest in watching the concert . Sadly the stewards did nothing to stop this and we were reluctant to complain in fear of unpleasant repercussions . To top the night off , we had come by shuttle bus from the town centre and when we left concert to return we had to join a mile long queue . Consequently we decided to walk the hours journey back to our hotel . Liverpool is a wonderful city , but won’t be returning to Anfield !

We bought the LFC tour in conjunction with the Beatles Tour which is at the Royal Albert Dock and bought together saves you money. The Anfield Stadium tour is a real must for every supporter of football, in fact I was the only LFC fan on my tour. We have been on the tour previously before the new stand was built and the new tour was totally superb. The new tour takes you behind the scenes of Englands most successful football club. You get to sit in both the Press room and the changing room and even touch the famous sign. There's lots of freedom on the tour and your not rushed around the stadium you'll get plenty of photo opportunities and a visit to the LFC restaurant makes for a wonderful end to the day, the food is really really good and very keenly priced, its that popular you have to book. If you book the joint Beatles/Anfeild tour and the restaurant I think they do a deal so enquire...!!!

My wife bought me a stadium and museum tour as a Christmas present, As we live 250 miles away and although I’m a big Liverpool fan, it seemed a long way with no game to watch......how wrong was I although this was tagged on to the end of a holiday, it is definitely worth the trip by its self.... the tour is lengthy and the guide fun and informative as well as being interesting and interactive Just make sure you have an extra couple of hours before or after, to walk around the ground and local area to se the murals and statues.....the museum is well laid out with everything you could possibly want to see..the tour takes in the new stand dressing rooms hospitality and press areas as well as the dug outs Photo opportunities with trophies and taking photos is also encouraged
We spent over 4 hours here and could easily spent longer. Unfortunately during these strange times the cafe/ restaurant was closed. But still an amazing day seeing things you would not see on a match day..

A LFC for many years I finally made it to Anfield. Fan support volunteers at Lime Street train station helped me find the bus/taxi rank to Anfield. The thing i took away from my few hours at the stadium was the friendliness of all the staff - from security to store staff. Even with all the crowds they all had a smile on their faces and are very much ambassadors for the club as much as the players on the pitch. The museum tour is going through a redesign but was very interesting the quote from Bill Shankly about Tommy Smith "he wasn't born..he was quarried" will stay with me. Couldn't fault my experience. Not a speck of litter or dirt and in a football club female toilets - free female hygiene products which i was well impressed with. If you are a liverpool fan..indeed if you are a fan of football nothing will come close to hearing the Kop and the rest of the stadium sing "you'll never walk alone" acapella

It was great value for money and very interesting. Even our son, who is not that interested in football, really enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and eager to share their love for the club and their unique knowledge. The tour was e very well organised the Museum well set out. The audio guide gave you lots of information with add ons for those who wanted them. The Hillsborough Memorial is very moving and so is the mural inside the museum. A great place to visit.

I have been there to watch some exciting football on numerous occasions and the people and staff are very friendly and helpful. The transport to the stadium is not the best however it's less than 3 miles from Lime Street train station.
You can also catch the bus 917 which is direct by St John's Lane to the ground very frequently.
I am hoping to go on the official Liverpool Football Club tour this year.

Firstly the tranport arrangements could be made clearer. We decided to drive because of the possible disruption to the trains. When we found the shuttle bus we were told it would be free if we had a bus pass. One steward said they had only just decided to accept bus passes. As the instructions on the website said no bags whatever we had only taken necessary items in our pockets. On the bus most people had bags from small handbags to backpacks. So we had to pay £4.60 each. Going in bags were allowed no problems.
Staff on the gates and inside were excellent.
The seats are really cramped and uncomfortable. Nowhere near enough legroom.
I was constantly being knocked by the person sitting behind me.
As the bars are open right through the concert there was a constamt stream of people going back and forth to the toilets and to fetch more drink, disturbing everyone in their row during a number instead of waiting between songs. Also we were told on the website no videoing but there were many people holding up their phones all the way through in front of the stewards. One very large lady stood up through most of it filming the whole time.
We were advised by a steward to make our way back to the bus at 10.15 to make sure we would get back. Consequently we missed the last three or 4 songs.
It is a very long walk from the stadium to the busses.
We certainly will never go to anfield again.

Attended Elton John concert tonight, treated ourselves to hospitality package in legends lounge, costing just on £1000, (£500) each.
Professional service getting into the ground, stewards cheerful and helpful.
Shown to our lounge, staff great white and red wine on the table, with a bottle of water.
Food so so, nothing special, average at best.
Husband had the monkfish I had the chicken both a bit dry, I ate mine ad I had taken my insulin and needed to eat.
Canapés were nice, amuse boucle smelled like toilet cleaner, didn't taste that great, sent it back.
My issue was the lack of choice in drinks for diabetics they did have diet coke, which I personally don't like, I am a diet Pepsi girl.
No suger free lemonade, asked for a cappuccino for dessert, only to be told the machine is switched off and only open on match days !
Asked for a baileys but told I would have to pay extra for this as not included in the all inclusive package.
I mentioned this to one of the staff who checked with a manager and I was given a small bailey's in a plastic cup.
Bare in mind I had paid £500 for this experience, so you could have 20 bottles of beer or 50 shots of vodka if you wanted but they wanted to charge for a bailey's you can get in the supermarket for £12 a bottle!
Went to watch the concert and returned in to get a water with ice and lemon, given tap water and told the bottled water was 'finished ' also told they had no sliced lemon left 🙄
Again staff are lovely but this package really not worth the money.
We could have stayed in the lounge post concert but what was the point, fed up with venues not offering options for diabetics

I took my 7 year old son on the Stadium Tour (a Christmas present to him) and it was excellent. Despite me being a Burnley fan, I found the tour fantastic and would definitely recommend. It's half guided and half self guided. Staff and various checkpoints are on hand to either introduce the next area or to answer questions - they are very enthusiastic about Liverpool FC as you can imagine and brought humour and knowledge to the your. The audio guide was really well done too - I'd say it was the easiest Audio-guide I've used, lots of opportunities to learn more or just dip in and out as you please. The view from the top of the new stand is fantastic, both inside the stadium and looking out over Goodison. Definitely recommend this tour. I'd also suggest you book as people without tickets were being turned away when we were there as they'd sold out. The club shop was very overcrowded and we struggled to find staff available on the floor to help us. The club shop at Liverpool One shopping centre on the other hand we found to be easier, so consider that if you have similar challenges with it being busy when you visit.

Hi everyone!
I'm an Italian guy and I recently got some tickets to visit Liverpool from 8 to 10th March.
I wanted to see a Liverpool match (against City) and I'm a bit confused about buying tickets.
Can you help me understand what is the best solution between full membership and hospitality?
what is the best solution for a tourist? how much is it?
Thanks!

A bus should not take too long which would be about 10-20 minutes to the nearest stops of lime street and anfield but also leave an extra 10 minutes time just in case. Have fun!

I do not know Liverpool at all. Are there any reasonable hotels in the area? If not how far away from the city is it? And if i do stay in the city is it easy to get there by bus and back after the concert which would be late? Thanks.

We stayed in the Aloft hotel in the city centre and on advice from the hotel we walked
To The world museum which was only a 10 minute walk and got a taxi from there to Anfield. The reason we walked to the museum to get the taxi was due to the huge amount of roadworks going on in the city centre at that time, to get a taxi from the museum end of town meant avoiding the roadworks. The journey time to Anfield was about 15 minutes from the museum. Taxi cost us approx £7.
