10 Admiral Grove, a property in Dingle, Liverpool, and the house in which Ringo Starr lived for twenty years before he rose to fame with the Beatles. The House is privately owned and as such you cannot enter for a look around. There is not much to see to be honest but it is interesting to see his very humble beginnings.

10 Admiral Grove is the boyhood home of the Beatles Ringo Starr. There is not a lot to see as it currently is vacant. It's just down the street from the Sentimental Journey pub and hotel.

We chose to go on foot from the Albert Dock over to Admiral Grove. I was glad that I mapped out the route prior to setting out and knew which building we were looking for because there is no indication (signs or otherwise) or homage to Ringo’s childhood home. It’s very much a regular neighborhood which is great. For me, viewing the house provided context to a visit of Liverpool when one has interest in The Beatles-related nostalgia. It worked for us. Also, we got into a neighborhood that we would not have visited otherwise.

10 Admiral Grove was a childhood home of Beatle, Ringo Starr. The house, situated in Liverpool’s Toxteth district, was nearly demolished before a fan bought it in 2016.

Visited on September 20. Walked there from the bus stop on Princes Rd. Had a pint in the Empress pub and had the luck to meet a young lady who’s family has lived in the neighbourhood for generations. She told me about the history of the area and brought me around the corner to 10 Admiral Grove. The house is empty and under what appears to be a slow renovation. Ringo’s birthplace around the corner at 9 Madryn Rd. Was not accessible as the street is fenced off for redevelopment. Went back again that night. Pub was quite lively and spent the evening drinking with the locals who were very friendly.

We stopped here as part of our Fab Four taxi tour. Just behind the Empress pub (now being converted into a hotel). The crack on the downstairs window ledge has been there since Ringo was at home. It's never been repaired, although the house has had a new lick of paint! Not an awful lot to see, other than taking in the historical value.

Exciting, very beautiful and historical places. If you are a Beatlemaniac, it is impossible not to go. It is a unique experience.
