On 5th April, I took my mum and boyfriend's mum, with my boyfriend and sister for a night of live music.
We had an amazing night... with a few grumples but we willl definitely go back.
We saw an acoustic act.. (that wasnt very acoustic), he was brilliant but for the beginning of the night it was a little too loud. At this point of the night, when you are eating it would be nice for the music to be almost background so that you can still talk and order food, without shouting.
To get a table, you have to order food and the offer on the night was great but the food wasnt the best. The slow cooked beef brisket was really good and the presentation of the food really quirky, but the others in the party said their chicken was too dry, the prawns too fiddly (should come shelled) especially for the size of the table when ordering a lot of tapas. But other than that i would recommend, booking a table and ordering a few beef briskets and some of the potato dishes, as having a table makes the night.
The main band that came on were fantastic. They were called the Flynn and Tonics, and played a huge range of songs from across the eras, starting with mellower adele songs getting funkier and more fun in sets two and three. Everyone was up dancing by the third set and we didnt want them to finish. They played two encore songs and quite a few people had come into the bar and were dancing at the back.
The bar itself has an awesome ambience. Brick walls with the old studio 'on air' lit up sign highlighting the bar area. There is a side part which would be amazing for a private party and i saw a buffet going on in there.
The staff were very friendly and although busy couldnt do enough for us.
I would fully recommend a night in here and want to go to one of the sunday night, live mic type nights.
Get the food right and this place will be my favourite in Liverpool.

Great small venue with studio level sound. Saw a great Spanish band, great little bar attached. Wonderfully intimate.

Have never been to this venue before, so a bit of digging revealed it was a former recording studio.
On entering, you can see this immediately.
Not a great deal of seating, but if you’re at a gig, seats really come second.
Great choice of beers, unfortunately, and this is where the stars were lost, the beers weren’t superb and some ran out long before the gig did.
Bar staff are friendly and helpful, and will happily talk to customers.
Acoustics? Excellent as you would expect from a recording studio.
Great night, great gig.
Shame about the beers, but I will definitely be back in this little nugget of a music venue

Had a great evening listening to excellent music. Totally unique and unpretentious venue with a good bar and friendly staff. Love the ongoing recording studio vibe with live feed music and video in the bar and huge window back into the stage. Sound quality was great. Will be returning!

Went to watch oranjson play. Never been before, but very impressed with the set up and decor of the building. Modern and clean. Spacious yet an intimate feel. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the music. Other bands were great, Western front, and just had a good evening. Only thing letting it down were the cramped toilets,2 were blocked, but all in all fabx

I visited Studio2 for Riot Sessions Break Dancing Event in Liverpool.
The venue is well laid out for events, the staff on the bar where friendly and polite, the drinks was reasonably prices, the venue was clean with a good floor (None sticky) and it has a great atmosphere thanks to the sound system, furnishings and lighting.
