A lovely real ale pub with a great central bar and small snugs and bars around it. When the locals had finished watching the Liverpool v Porto game, they even switched the Spurs v Man City game on!

Visit this place whenever in town, lovely pint of Guinness and the greatest pork pie in the city. Special mention to the well stocked juke box too, a feature seldom seen these days in pubs.

The beer in this pub is without doubt excellent the food however is limited to pork pies! Two pound for a ‘small’ pie three for a large. The large one would feed two people. The pub has three rooms, a large bar area, a News...More

Interesting old pub with many Victorian feature. The internal glass work is worth a look. Good to see it was crowded with a "post work drink" crowd.
