Cinema was built/opened during World War 2. The place is now run by volunteers who do a fantastic job. Make no mistake- this is a PROPER cinema experience, not your rubbish and eye-wateringly expensive Vue, Odeon etc

My partner and I watched Fantastic Beasts Crimes Of Grindelward at this wonderfully organised cinema. It is well worth a second visit to watch this amazing film. I will be back to the Plaza soon.

An amazing survivor from 1939. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Although the main auditorium has to mini cinemas there it doesn't detract from its charm
