David set up our Beatles tour of Liverpool on what turned out to be Sir Paul McCartney's birthday June 18th. Our guide was Joey and he was fantastic. He's born and bred in Liverpool and he knows the town and of course he knows the Beatles. We booked a four hour tour and Joey made sure that we really got to see everything that we could. We all four Beatles childhood homes, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane and got a real sense of the city as it was in Beatle days. My family loved the tour and our excellent driver and raconteur Joey. I would highly recommend this tour.

We chose a full day tour with David. He is a class act! He met us at the port (we were on a cruise) and took us to see everything! From Ringo and George's childhood homes to arranging for us to take the National Trust tours of John and Paul's childhood homes! While standing on Penny Lane, he explained exactly was the song was about. He also told us and showed us Strawberry Fields and took us to the church where John and Paul were first introduced. The same church had a cemetery in which Eleanor Rigby was buried. The other big highlight of the day was getting to tour the Casbah Coffee Club. We enjoyed our tour with Roag Best (Pete's great nephew). We were totally immersed in Beatles history and influences during this tour. I can definitely say that

It was magical to visit so many of the places that shaped the Beatles and hear the stories of how it all came together. My guide, David Bedford, really brought the whole Beatles story to life and emphasized that the greatest band ever was truly meant to be. It was just a fantastic day all around that I will never forget!

Having booked the full Beatles package this turned out to be the highlight. Dave Tarbuck our guide ‘brought to life’ the songs with his explanation behind the words. It wasn’t just here’s Eleanor Rigby’s grave or this is Strawberry Field. You could sense he was well respected by other tour guides as we stopped at various locations. I certainly feel we dropped lucky. I’ve already recommended this tour and Dave to a colleague who’s planning a visit to Liverpool.

We took the 3 hour personal tour as we were tight on time for a train out in the afternoon. Our driver was there ready to go and waiting on us on time. His name is Joey Lyons. He was excellent! My wife, son and I each thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The stories he told made what we looked at come to life like a personal visit in a Time Machine to the 1950’s and 60’s. I’d book with Liverpool Beatles Tours anytime I come back. Cheers!

I went on a virtual tour of Lennon in Liverpool and London with David Bedford and Richard Porter on 29th Nov 2020 and they both augmented each other and furnished us all with the most arcane and esoteric facts that you would normally have to study a lifetime to find.
David's Liverpool take was researched from eye and ear witnesses he had interviewed himself from the specific era which gave it an enhanced authenticity and human touch. You definitely had the feeling that this guide is about as good as it gets and best hang on to every pearl of knowledge he delivers as they come thick and fast.
Richard has most definitely pounded the streets of London more than any other guide and highlighted more Beatles places of interest than anybody in the known world. He is totally dedicated to his pursuit of accuracy and informs everyone with at least thirty years of accumulative Beatledom.
These guys are world class and optimise your experience with the most knee trembling facts you are ever like to witness.

Book this tour with David Bedford! Others can show you around Liverpool, but his love and knowledge of the Beatles, and their city, are apparent. We took the 6 hour tour (which flew by) and immersed ourselves into the world of the early Beatles.
Don't just pass John and Paul's houses on a yellow bus. Get out...go in...play piano in Paul's living room like I did! Stand in John's bedroom... on and on.
Most tours do not go to the Casbah Club, a special slice of Beatles history.
David and driver Ian were a blast to spend the day with, and we highly recommend you book this tour!

I attended David's virtual "The Beatles in Liverpool, London and Hamburg" tour with fellow Beatles tour guide Richard Porter, and what a FAB time! Heard lots of great and specific facts about the clubs the band played at and the fascinating history around these cities. Even a special treat to see what they look like today from the pics/videos the speakers had. Along with some special stories, these guys have such a wonderful passion for the band that you will enjoy too! Check out the next virtual tour available.

As a lifelong Beatles fan visiting Liverpool had always been a dream. When my wife and I finally had the opportunity and we chose Liverpool Beatles Tours. We were able to choose what we wanted to see and they made an itinerary that fit our time schedule perfectly. David, our driver and guide was excellent. I couldn’t have asked for more. I highly recommend them if you’re planning on going to Liverpool.

We had only one day in Liverpool, but this private, customized tour got us into all the sites we wanted to see. Our tour guide, Dave Tarbuck is a lifelong Liverpool resident and was able to answer all of our arcane questions. We started with Ringo's and George's childhood homes, followed by Paul’s and John’s boyhood homes – both part of the National Trust. We next visited Penny Lane including the barbershop, and St. Peter’s Church where a young Paul McCartney met a young John Lennon. It is also where Eleanor Rigby is buried. We had lunch at Strawberry Fields and finished up with a tour of the Casbah Club, where the Beatles truly started. This part of the tour was conducted by expert David Bedford and tells the story of how the Beatles went from a makeshift club in a suburban housewife’s basement to Shea Stadium in six years. Truly fascinating and likely more educational than the bigger bus tours. Highly recommended if you have the budget.

You can request whatever you wish in advance. They build custom tours with your Beatle interests. We saw John an Paul's home and we paid extra to see Stu Sutcliffe's grave . You tell your interest s and they quote you a price. I suggest Ringo stars sentimental journey hotel, casbah club.joh.pauls home, pennylane, philharmonic, roundabout, strawberry fields etc to name a few. Custom Tour ends at Beatles story at the docks. This tour is not cheap like magical mystery bus tours but they stop an explain and take pictures for you. You get what you pay for and this tour beats them all hands down. I also have many Beatle's Liverpool reviews on trip advisor with pictures. Please give a like if you view them. Thanks

Hi, we are visiting Liverpool tomorrow for 2 nights and would like to know where and how we book for your tour and what is the cost per person please
Written May 29, 2018
I called the number in the listing the morning of my tour (in Dec), whilst they were booked out, they arranged for someone to work on their day off.
The cost for the cab was I think £75, there is not a PEr Person cost. But you can only fit 5 (maybe 6) in the cab.
We didn’t visit the Casbah Club but I believe this is extra per person paid to the club directly.
I can’t recommend the tour enough, I had previously dont the Magical Mystery Tour and this is leaps ahead!

Hi there , we're over in Liverpool for the weekend and would like to do a tour, would u have any space for us today? Thanks a mill

Hi, I am doing a tour of the UK in May-June next year but it doesn't cover Liverpool so I thought I might do a day/night train trip to Liverpool.
I am keen to do a mini bus tour including the Beatle's one where you actually go into their homes. I would also like to see a bit more of Liverpool in the process. The tour guides Stevie T. and Ian had great reviews and would seem to fit what I had in mind. I wondered if you would know the best cheapest train line, times to depart each end i.e. London ti Liverpool and Liverpool back to London. I would spend one night only in Liverpool. Is there a backpackers a sixty-five plus could stay in or a reasonably priced hotel, near the train station you could recommend. Thanks for your help.Trust this finds you fit and well and not too cold, Best regards

Sorry to take so long answering your question. The train trip from London to Liverpool is approx 2 and a half hours. You can find timetables and cheap tickets at a website called "thetrainline".
Can't suggest cheap accomodation as we stayed in a nice hotel a block from The Cavern. So you pay for it. Absolutely recommend the tour, and it is the only one that will get you INSIDE John and Paul's former homes. Enjoy the trip mate. We will remember it for the rest of our lives.

We have never been to England and would love to have a fulfilling two week trip including an extensive Beatles all day exploring tour (and to be able to go INTO the homes, i read tours just drive by...) and then London attractions. PLEASE we have never been out of the United States and I would LOVE to follow someones itinerary that planned out a good (two week?) trip for themselves to England. I really really want to have nice experiences , and I am just lost looking at all the options. We are in our 60's and would be ever so grateful for your guidance's! Please!
