Pro’s: Good day out, gardens and play areas are good. Cons: House/hall isn’t very big and not child friendly. Food and drink is expensive

Full of history and character. Been here few times as weather wasn’t nice first time so didn’t have much opportunity to explore gardens much. Helpful staff who give Clear answers to questions. Lovely cafe. Nice food and service

love the architecture of this house with it's priest holes and eavesdropping spot (think this may have been the origin of the word 'eavesdropping')

I would not advise this. The estate gates are locked overnight. The car park is exposed. There is a good caravan site on Wirral, Thurstaston.
