An expansive edifice with a presence on more than one street, it has lovely decorous facades.

With grand stone work in light hues, one of the architectural styles is Neo-Classical. Columns with Corinthian capitals are just some of the decorative features.

Built in the mid 1700s it was substantially rebuilt following a later fire. Today it continues to be an architectural treasure.

Liverpool's mid-18th-century Town Hall is a magnificent example of Georgian architecture inside and out. It was designed by John Wood the Elder, also famous for his major contributions to the architecture of Bath. It is open to the public and they offer tours. At times, though, it is booked for weddings.

Liverpool Town Hall is a beautiful building, especially the small ballroom and the stunning chandeliers. Really interesting and informative tour with a well informed guide. It was great to be able to stand on the balcony following in the footsteps of so many famous people.

We stopped in and just looked around. I wasn't aware of the tour. Needs better advertised. I would have loved to go to the balcony where the Beatles stood when returning to Liverpool

The Liverpool Town Hall is another great example of the architecture in the docks area.
It was enchanted by a lovely sunny bank holiday. Unfortunately it was not open so we couldn’t view the detail inside.

Recently had our daughters wedding here. The venue is fabulous and very regal & oozes opulence ....
The staff were second to none, and we couldn’t have wished for a more pleasurable & extremely memorable chilled day..... I would recommend in an instant 5*

Great experiences at the Liverpool Town Hall - the architecture is superb but also great service from the staff there makes it a worthwhile visit when in Liverpool.

Town Halls speak volumes about a town or city -about its history, its fortunes and, most importantly, it's people. Liverpool Town Hall is one of the most beautiful I have seen. It it not the largest by any means, but it sits majestically, presiding over Liverpool's daily life and its architecture, symmetry and exquisite detail cannot fail to impress. Cabinets to each side of the magnificent staircase contain examples of civic regalia and silver and the artwork is superb. Public open days are held for in time to time.
