If you want to know some unknown history about the Beatles the Casbah is a great place to go. It's original and the tour is taken by the grandson of Neil Aspinall. The tour goes for an hour, but I was in there for at least 1 1/2 hours. This was the first place that John, Paul and George played... More

Loved this tour - if you love the history of the Beatles told with an very enthusiastic guide, and you like to step back in time to another era this is the tour for you. There is a fascinating history to this suburban cellar club which was way ahead of its time started by a very feisty lady This is... More

Seeing the place Mona Best (Pete's mother) created for bands in Liverpool to explore there musical talents was very special. I was stunned by it's location in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. My tour was given by Roag Best who had endless stories about the club, his mother and the Beatles. Definitely worth the trip.

If you love the Beatles, you'll want to visit the club where they played in the early days. But be warned, the club is tiny, dirty and amateurishly run- but it is still owned and operated by the family of Pete Best- the dumped Beatle, and they are your guides. A must see for fans.

Just an amazing experience. Thanks to Roag, a great guide and a wonderful tribute to their mother, a sometimes unsung mentor for the Beatles. p.s book in the memorabilia tour, well worth it.

Not only did we do the tour, but Neil Aspinal's grandson (and Pete Best's nephew) was our tour guide! This is the real deal. It hasn't been glammed up or commercialized. You could imagine the boys walking in the door at any moment. It still contains John's carved name (he called it artwork) and the stage upon which they played.... More

Went in August for BestFest 8, you can feel the history as you walk in, right from the entrance to the stage, yes it did get a bit hot and humis, but as Rugue told us, "Theres only 250 here tonight , think wwhat it was like with 1000 in the 60's"

Having been on nearly all the possible Beatles tours in Liverpool and having seen all the sights on a number of occasions, I can report that the Casbah Coffee Club tour is one of the best. We were part of a small group who were welcomed by Rogue Best - Pete Best's (the original Beatles drummer) brother, who gave a... More
