    Fabulous atmosphere
Paid entry but great to experience the birth place of The Beatles. Live music was great, really enjoyed it. Atmosphere and the people of Livepool are the best, so friendly and welcoming. The Cavern is on Matthew Street which has a feel of Dublin in the UK. I would definitely recommend and will be returning 😊

A bit of history (great fun!)
I took my daughter here today the staff were extremely friendly. Cost £5 to enter but we’ll worth it we watched two acts one a Beatles tribute and one a single male musician they were both excellent. Drinks were reasonably priced. Toilets clean and tidy.

I loved this place, from the wall outside covered in bricks inscribed with names of artists who had appeared there to the memorabilia on display inside. The only sour note was at the bar where we went to get postcards and we were met by only unfriendly person we had come across in Liverpool! However, I would definitely recommend The Cavern for a visit.

    Fabulous
Yearly pilgrimage to the cavern club in February and WOW Friday 23rd Cavern club Beatles were absolutely fabulous. Massive shout out to Dave the Manager you as per usual looked after us. The support act was the best I’ve seen (apologies can’t remember the name) there was a pre show on the big screen behind the stage which was new. The band itself had a new member (John Lennon) and he was the best we have seen so far. Staff was very friendly with a marvellous atmosphere.

    Still has live music.
My visit came at the end of the Magical Mystery Beatles tour. I love the general feel of the Cavern Club. I ended up staying for a couple of hours enjoying the music ,aood and drinks. The prices were reasonable.

    brilliant, superb & amazing
Visiting family in Liverpool, and needed to stay close by, so 11am and although wasn't really in the mood we decided to go down and sit in the cavern. Carla, always a lovely friendly familiar face and we were lucky to hear a relatively new resident singer Jim Yeung from Hong Kong, totally awesome and actually brought a tear to my eye, what a lovely singer, guitarist and gentleman. Then Paul Jones! simply brilliant, superb & amazing. Went in feeling down came out feeling up 🌟

The Beatles didnt ever play on the stage of the replica Cavern Club,
The original Cavern where the Beatles played was further down Mathews St. In late 1964 The club acquired the basement next door to the original Club and opened a recording studio Cavern Sounds Ltd. This was extra space and nearer to what is now the current Replica Cavern Club The added space was used as a recording studio well after the Beatles achieved Worldwide fame and had moved on from Liverpool. When the present owners claim that the replica club is on 70% of the "footprint" of the original club they must be including this later added space which was not where the Beatles and other groups played it was more or less a later added extension. So saying that they played 272 times on the replica Cavern stage is a falsehood. The Beatles didn't play on the new Cavern Club even once

    Great fun
Great fun, even though I’m not a massive fan of the Beatles, it was still lots of fun and so many different classic, well known songs. The band were great and it was a great night. The drinks however, tasted good but were very pricey!

    Not just for Beatle Fans
We thought we ought to go just because we’re in Liverpool, we didn’t expect to stay every long but 2 hours later we left. The £5 entry was very reasonable and the drinks the same as a normal bar. I thought we’d be in 20min and would leave, but there was so much interesting information and photos about, we stayed to listen to a guy singing on the small stage, when he’d finished we looked in the gift shop and didn’t realise there was another larger stage and bar beyond. A lady (I think her name was Katie) was just about to start her set, she was brilliant and we stayed and listened to all her songs. We could have stayed all day but we had other things to go and do.

    2 absolutely amazing visits!
Came here for a few wonderful hours on a Friday and Saturday infact it was the weekend anniversary of George Harrison 80th birthday! If the Friday was good with the 2 live acts we saw, then Saturday was out of this world. First there was the amazing George tribute singer, blimey looked like him sang like him! After that was The Beatles Complete. 4 extremely talented young guys who will go far! .....Hmmmm heard that before somewhere! They are just unbelievable as The Fab Four! A conga started in the packed Cavern to O-Bla-Di! The 3 of us left with such happy wonderful memories....THIS PLACE IS A MUST!

We came on Monday to take part in the backstage tour, this is a free event that is run by the Cavern club...it was Excellent , Dale was our guide and he was fab very enthusiastic funny and knowledgeable. The tour lasted approximately 45 minutes we got to see the dressing rooms and the original entrance used by the bands we finished in the caverns live lounge which I had no idea was even there...when we finished we left through a little curtain arriving back in the Cavern Club. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
We came back in the evening to enjoy the live music which was excellent, the drinks are a little pricey but I suppose the atmosphere makes up for it.

I would like to start of by saying I am not a huge fan of the Beatles but as I was in Liverpool over the weekend I thought we should go and have a look at the cavern club.
We checked the cavern clubs website and saw they did a free tour every Monday at 10-30. I will be honest I was a little unsure about the free tour as it seems now a days that nothing is free lol but we went along to see what it was like and I am so glad we did.
First of we where all taken on to Matthew street where dale the tour guide introduced himself. And asked where we where all from. Dale was FANTASTIC, you could tell he has a HUGE passion for the cavern club and was very proud of his city Liverpool. He was extremely friendly, funny and he has the ability to make you think he is talking directly to you all the time. He has great knowledge of the history of the cavern club and Liverpool, he also had everyone listening on his every word and was exceptionally good at telling us all about the story and history of the cavern club. As I said earlier I am not a Beatles fan but as I was hearing about the history of the cavern club and the Beatles it was giving me butterflies, goosebumps and proud to be English and thankful at having the chance to hear all about the history of the tavern club.
For me the tour was absolutely excellent and I would have quite happily paid for the tour.
After the tour we where left to our selves to do as we wished. We decided to look around a bit more, look at the memorabilia and history of the cavern club, and have a couple of drinks and listen to the live music. Personally I loved the inside of the cavern club, it was nothing like I expected it to be like in fact it was way better, the feeling of the building was great , and it felt like I was being taken back in time to the 60s and 70s. The live music was great and the whole place had a special feeling, but it seemed not just me that had that special feeling but everyone in there seemed to be feeling the same, happy, cheerful and smiley. All the staff there where friendly and the drinks where nice and a good price.
I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I have had in my life and we certainly plan to return and spend not just a couple of hours ( like we did this time ) but a couple of nights there.
I would like to say a HUGE thank you to dale and everyone at the cavern club for a great few hours
Keep up the great work.

Visited on Saturday night with my husband .front door staff polite, bar staff polite. Two doorman by the live lounge smaller chap nice and polite. Other one very rude. My husband was getting served and I went to walk into the Lounge unaware that a ticket was required and was spoken to very rudely by this particular member of security staff. Was told ticket only and no other explanation of how to get a ticket or if there were still available or not. Felt very intimidated being spoken to so rudely and abruptly like this, with myself having been polite to him and apologetic we had came to the cavern after having been the theatre before, we thought it would be nice to see a particular member of your entertainment staff play. We stayed 10 more minutes and left. Quickest £25 we have ever spent including the £10 admission for 15 minutes tops in there. Will never visit this place again.

Situated on both sides of the street the Cavern pub with free entry sign outside the front door is the sister pub across from where the Beatles used to play in the Cavern. Its £4 admission to get into the venue where The Beatles and other big artists have gigged at. Well worth the price, live music seven nights a week. The Beatles tribute band were very good. Highly recommend this venue for a night out in Liverpool. Can get rather busy though so if your looking to sit down I'd recommend going early.

Never tire of coming here, being a massive Beatles fan. We recently visited in the day and just went down the stairs and had a look round at all the memorabilia on the walls and in the different rooms, which we hadn't had the chance to do properly before as it gets busy when groups are on and in the evening. It's free to just walk round if there are no events on and take in the atmosphere of an iconic place.

A must do when you're in Liverpool. We visited twice on Good Friday which happened to be my husband's birthday. First in the afternoon where we paid £5 for entry and then again in the evening where we had booked to watch the Cavern Club Beatles. The afternoon was was really good and the guitarist was playing covers which we really enjoyed and there was a great atmosphere. There's not much seating though which I understand but it was slightly annoying that I went to sit on a bar stool when they became free and a lady shouted at me that they were taken, even though no one was there and when I said, do you need all 6 seats she said I'm not sure yet. When her friends joined her from the bar there was only 4 of them but they took over 2 seats on a table and 4 bar stools which quite honestly was selfish. As we had already heard a lot of Beatles and done a few tours etc I wondered if the Cavern Club Beatles would be worth it but it was definitely the highlight of our trip. It honestly felt like being in the 60's and that we were watching John, Paul, Ringo and George. It really made my husband's birthday and I would definitely recommend going to anyone visiting Liverpool who loves the Beatles. We went on the Friday evening and there was quite a bit of seating if you got there early enough otherwise there was space to stand at the back.

Great to experience this very lively club. there were some fantastic performers playing live on the Saturday we visited and everyone was having a great time judging by the dancing and singing from all the patrons. Small downside would be the bar area was not very big which meant big queues and battling through the crowd and quite long waits to be served but overall well worth a visit.

My girlfriend and I visited Liverpool for my birthday earlier today and obviously you cant go to Liverpool without a visit to The Cavern Club. There was a large queue on the Saturday night so we visited early on Sunday instead.

There was live entertainment with a solo artist singing some of the hits performed by The Beatles and other acts who have visited The Cavern Club. There are photos throughout of all the big names who have performed at the club in years gone by. There's also plenty of memorabilia to be bought if you're a keen collector.

This is well worth when on a visit to Liverpool. Live music all day and drinks at reasonable prices for what type of place it is. You have to go for the free guided tour at 10.00 most days it last 45 minutes and the guide Dale was brilliant at what he does, so informative. It's free but well worth giving a decent tip.We went back in the evening and the two artists that were on were excellent. The history of the club is fascinating. Well worth a visit..

You mustn’t be in Liverpool and not visit such an iconic venue. A small entrance fee is a bargain given the great live music, friendly staff and massive amount of memorabilia, photos etc. Dale’s walking tour of The Cavern and Mathew Street is fabulous, entertaining, informative and free! Very highly recommended, would gladly have paid for this too.
