A very interesting Georgian/Victorian building with interesting paintings and costume displays. ( Currently 1950’s haute couture. The gardens in which the house is set are very pleasant and worth a stroll. Admission is free!

I'm a fan of Victorian art and architecture so this was an ideal place for me to visit. It was great to see painting in the rooms where the owner intended them to be hung, and the short videos about various rooms were excellent. The...More

Nice Victorian house although not all original features remain. Lift for disabled visitors but access to the small outside garden has uneven steps. Small tearoom with the same prices as the other museums in Liverpool. Pleasant way to spend an hour or two.

Interesting history of this former Liverpool merchants house, a little gem slightly of the beaten track but worth a visit. Not too big to tour around there are sometimes events on.
