The 50 minute trip along the Mersey is a must if you really want the best view of Liverpool and the famous 'three graces'. A leisurely cruise up the Liverpool side of the Mersey before turning round to see what the Wirral side has to offer. Included in the trip was a pre-recorded commentary on the sites you could see... I needed to get to Seacomb, so ferry is the easiest way. Travelling with 2 small children. There is no commuter fare during the day, I had to pay 10 GBP for a 20 min journey, absolute rip off.

Thanks for your review. For future reference, you can make cross river journeys on the ferry with an All Areas Saveaway ticket, which costs £5.20. This is not valid for River Explorer Cruises, but is accepted for passengers wishing to cross the river via the ferry. More

WE had a really lovely trip on snowdrop the razzle dazzle boat. A great way to see the river and its attractions. thoroughly recommend and for a family of five it was good value. With free entry to the U Boat exhibition this was a real winner.

Trip was taken on a very windy day, not for those who suffer with motion sickness. good views fro the ferry but generally not very inspiring.

Thanks for your review. We hope that the wind did not affect your journey too badly. There are plenty of places to shelter on board, and you can enjoy a nice tea or coffee to warm you up. Thanks again for your comments. More

No trip to Liverpool is complete without a trip on the famous Mersey Ferry. It's advisable to get there at least 20mins before sailing to get a good seat on the upper deck farthest away from the dock side. The trip lasts about 50mins with an excellent commentary pointing out the historical landmarks. Refreshments are available on board. We bought... More

My husband, born on the Wirral, has always wanted me to experience the ferry across the Mersey, and this year we finally went on it with his cousin and his wife. We embarked at Woodhead, and whilst waiting for the Dazzle ferry to arrive we toured the German U boat which is on display there. None of us realized how... More

The ferry provides a round trip ticket allowing you to hop on and off the ferry as you like. The ferry has a very good and informative commentary and the free visit to the German U boat an added bonus. We combined this with entry to the Beatles Exhibition which was also very good. A great way to see some... More

We took the ferry from Birkenhead on a grey day in August and our day was brightened. Snowdrop is brightly painted as a tribute to WW1 naval vessels and she looks glorious. The recorded commentary is informative and fun and, of course, "Ferry across the Mersey" just has to be played. This is the way to arrive in the city... More
