We visited Liverpool ACC to see The Beyond Van Gogh Exhibit that's running in the exhibition centre until 24 July.
What a lovely location right on Liverpool's waterfront. A great building with plenty of facilities including a reasonably priced cafe.
The Exhibit was well run, very immersive as advertised and very professional and informative. From start to end it took around 75 minutes to see everything but you were not rushed at all you can spend as long or as little time as you want there
Tickets can be bought online or at the Exhibition Centre a time slot is given for entry to ensure that you get the most out of the experience.
Highly recommend

I went to the arena for the first time for over 2 years to see Simple Minds. Excellent show which I fully enjoyed but the facilities were not the best. Firstly there appeared to be no food available on our side of the Arena (the Riverside) . Secondly there was only one type of beer available ( if you can call San Miguel beer) and it was £ 6 a pint. Ok I expect to pay more at gigs but considering I was in a pub where the same drink was available for half that price only the day before I consider that markup a little excessive. The other thing was that one of the three bars closed 10 minutes before the gig started leading to big queues at the 2 remaining ones especially during the interval which led people either missing part of the concert or disturbing others when they returned to their seats.
I'm a big fan of this venue having been there many times in the past but Saturday night was not good enough I'm afraid especially considering that there was a near capacity crowd in attendance.

Attended a conference here. The conference spaces themselves are good and the parking is reasonably priced for a city centre. However the registration process was a shambles as the machines kept breaking and the catering was very poor. No snacks or cold drinks. All the food was vegan (which I think had been requested so that in itself wasn’t the problem) but it was essentially 2 types of brown slop and very unappealing. You were also not allowed to try both dishes and there were no desserts! Very disappointing :(

I was here for a 2 day business conference. It was set over 3 floors, a ground floor with a couple of cloak rooms and a small food shop, the upper floor goes to a large lounge area seems to be set apart for VIP guests. It also gives access to a suite of auditoria of various sizes. The downstairs is accessed by an elevator, which comes to the main convention area which has a large single auditorium, (there were approximately 1500 people around the stage). The other side was used as a large exhibition and display area with seating areas in the corners for chats, and food areas in different areas for lunch and tea.

We visited the ACC as part of Snap-on tools 100 anniversary and annual conference.
The venue is in a great location with a multi story car park right next door.
Brilliant views across the River Mersey.
Upon entering there are lots of people dotted around to guide you in the right direction or answer any questions.
The actual conference hall and seminar rooms were bright and airy, lots of chill out areas and rest rooms which were very clean.
Here’s my problem.... food provided across the 2 days was beyond terrible.
Bizarre combinations of curry and Yorkshire puddings etc.
Hubby is a coeliac and was offered very limited choice, on the Friday at main meal time he was very rudely told he was only allowed 4 potato wedges, which is quite unreasonable for a grown mans main meal.
On the Saturday, the only food available for a coeliac was salad and potato wedges.
Then they actually ran out of food altogether.
The ACC would have been given expected numbers attending so should accommodate better amounts of food.
Great venue, just don’t eat there.
5 star venue 1 star catering, due to this I feel 3 stars is reasonable.

My family and I attended the Liverpool Comic Con and though there were some organisational issues, we had a brilliant time.
This review though is more to highlight a member of staff who absolutely made our weekend! Her name is Carmel, and she was brilliant. My MIL and I booked tickets for a panel forgetting that she was going to need an accessible seat, but Carmel fixed it all for us instantly, providing us with brilliant accessible seats and allowing us to pay for them and give our tickets to my husband and friend, so we all got to see the panel!! She was absolutely amazing and if it wasn’t for Carmel, we’d have ended up wasting our money unable to go. Thank you so so much!

We visited the Convention Centre/Arena Convention centre for the Xtreme Magic show recently.

In terms of the building. It was good. The auditorium seats were great, location is fine and as it was a relatively small scale event, very few queues.

Once inside, one area for potential improvement, was the organisation of when doors would open. That was a bit of a let down as it was just a lady walking and attempting to let people know by shouting.

Once inside. The show was ok. We didnt have high expectationa, it was just, ok. One area which was a bit overpowering was the volume of the audio, it was very loud, potentially overly so.

All in a all. A good venue, on this occasion, it let down a bit by organisation and the audio

Attended for the Sodexo Awards evening. Apart from the chaotic entrance process which took around 40minutes with no apparent organisation at all the Rest of the night was unbelievable. Staff professionalism. Quality and delivery of food to 600+ delegates was the best I’ve ever seen. The whole evening was simply the best event I’ve ever attended. A credit to the organisers and management of the venue. Just rethink the entry process.

We had a great time just walking around and eating in the area even though almost everything was shut down due to 70 mph high winds and rain

Been to the Echo arena several times...Not a big arena but still holds 9 or 10k..
Way Way better than the MEN arena in Manchester..More room in the seats and even if you are on row z you get a decent view of the stage..Sound is ok as well.
One thing that confuses me is when you purchase a small bottle of wine, they remove the cap...WHY?
So they remove a cap that weighs about 5g but give you the bottle with the wine inside that weighs 200g......
Wine is £5.20 for a 187ml bottle....About average price......The place is organised when leaving unlike Manchester...
