This beautiful memorial serves as a magnificent entry to the grounds of the Buckingham Palace. The monument
is 82 feet high and uses 2,300 tons of white marble. The details on Victoria's statue as well as the statues representing courage, victory and truth are spectacularly detailed. The statue was created between the years 1906-1924.

Located near the Queen Elizabeth II courts. The neo Baroque Queen Victoria monument contains 26 bronze figures and was unveiled in 1906.

It was surprising to see so many people just walk past at the time of my visit. I was the only person admiring it for a while.

It is worth looking at the other figures apart from Queen Victoria.

Liverpool is justifiably famous for its grand architecture but its also home to a multitude of monuments and statues, arguably one of the most famous is the Queen Victoria Monument in Derby Square .
Unveiled in 1906 and constructed on the site of the former Liverpool Castle its an impressive structure, the statue of Queen Victoria is splendid but so to are the 26 other statue's that make up the monument, all well detailed, the monument is very photogenic, makes for some great photographic opportunities and is easy to locate on Derby Square .
Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Came across this monument by accident and didn't know about it. A great place to rest and relax for a while. One of the larger monuments that is in great detail. At the time of visiting the weather was not the best therefore it was a quick visit.

This large monument would have once been nothing less than magnificent. Grafitti now adorns and spoils it. Liverpool has much to offer but the general state of cleaning and maintenance of the public realm lets it down in some parts.

The Queen Victoria Monument is a massive tribute to the legendary Queen of the former massive British empire. It was also a famous Beatles photo op for the the Beatles songs and My Life there are places I remember. A definite must see if you are a Beatles fan and costs nothing to visit.

The Queen Victoria Monument looks like it was breathtaking at one time and very impressive, But, it is kind of dirty and full of black grime and needs a good cleaning by the city of Liverpool, The steps were filthy and it's sad a tribute to Victoria is left like this.

The statue per se is really beautiful. But if you stand at the right angle, you’ll understand why scousers make fun of it.
