What people are saying
A great experience, and a slip up well compensated. (Be aware of timings)

I bought this experience for my partner for his birthday last year. Booked in, we rang ahead to check the weather and they were sceptical due to weather. In the end the go ahead was given and he was due to depart 30 minutes after his original booking time. The pilot taking him out came in to speak to us before leaving. He came across either half asleep or stoned? It was like he couldn't keep his eyes open and was slurring his words. I was a little worried but thought it may be something to do with the fact he had just come from the air. My partner told me he was a different person once up in the air. Phew! The pilot took him and his father over his parents house which was nice. Once they landed I was confused as to why they were back so early. (at least 10 minutes) I questioned this and the guy, once more, seemed drunk and about to fall asleep and had little regard for what I was saying. We are told it is supposed to be an hours booking, turns out to be fifty minutes but when they say fifty minutes flight time, what they mean is fifty minutes in the plane, including taxi time on the runway. This still wasn't fifty minutes. It was forty. he responded with "I don't really know what you want me to do about it" Then they main guy (Neil) came back in and I just said ok forget it. Neil questioned my issue and I explained. He apologised and offered a hat to apologise. It wasn't what we were really looking for although I was still more annoyed at the pilot as opposed to the main guy. A little later I had a call from Neil to apologise again and inform us that he had checked air traffic control and I was right in regards to times. He said the pilot was sorry and embarrassed about the situation and they were looking to offer another trial flight in compensation for the mess up. Needless to say that although it was annoying that there was a mess up my partner was very happy with the outcome and is looking forward to returning to Merseyflight to go up again.

This was a totally unexpected present for our 30th wedding anniversary! Mrs G knows I’m a plane geek and so arranged this wonderful surprise for me ❤️

What can I say other than it was a brilliant experience. Thanks to Asif my instructor for making me feel at ease and giving me a wonderful experience and letting me fly over my my home city.

Blue skies always!
