It’s short and sweet and a weird video at the end that makes little sense. Not as good as Warwick castle for getting children captivated sadly.

Within the Castle and attached to the old Prison lies a very historically full building that will keep you occupied for a time!

Superb building to house an amazing piece of history. The actual thing is kept in a darkened room behind glass but incredible to see something so old and with so much history and relevance. The cinema section is great and tells the story and the...More

Housed in a vault for security the Magna Carta and Carter of the Forest are an important slice of British history. We visited on a Sunday morning and were the only people in the place. The documents are kept behind glass with low light to...More

This is within the castle, but if you want to see the Magna Carta you should check online first, as it is not always there. Good film presentation about it, Very informative.

We have been lucky enough to have seen another copy of the Magna Carta, but it's always such a treat to see a document that not only helped shaped democracy, but is so old, fragile and incredibly written, with it's minute immaculate script on a...More

A piece of living history. It boggles my mind that I am looking at a document that has shaped the course of social history that was drawn up and signed 800 years ago. Amazing that 4 copies survive, and wonderful to see that it is...More
