Went for lunch as the airfield had a special day with lots of aircraft coming from far and Wide. Special Christmas time turkey curry went down very well, a flying visitor from near Heathrow was overheard saying he would come back just for the curry. Cafe is open daily, food is good and low priced. Can not recommend highly enough

My wife and I were staying in Wickenby for the week and using it as a base to visit a few other attractions such as the international bomber command centre, the Lincolnshire aviation heritage centre and RAF Conningsby. As we were so close to RAF Wickenby we thought we would have a look at this too and we were so glad we did! Although it is on a much smaller scale than the others, we found it just as interesting and certainly more moving. The collection is obviously lovingly cared for and is fascinating for anyone interested in the history of the RAF and the second world war era in particular. Thank you to everyone involved in maintaining this little gem.

A must see tribute to the incredibly brave men and women that served here at the Former R.A.F. Wickenby during the Second World War.A small buy lovingly maintained display in the upper floor of the operational control tower.A fantastic small cafe is on the ground floor which serves anything from full cooked meals to cakes and coffee or tea.The airfield is still operational for small private aircraft and these may be watched from the pleasant outdoor seating area in fine weather.

Small museum in the control tower of the aerodrome. All very interesting and also rather poignant. The only negative being the smell of frying in the cafe on the ground floor.I spent about 30 minutes here.

Enjoyed a really interesting couple of hours looking over the displays about the bomber crews who flew from here during WWII. We were lucky enough to meet Anne, the memorial custodian, who had great knowledge of the history of the bomber offensive and the Lancaster crews who operated from this airfield. Old and young should both enjoy a visit to this museum.
