Bransby Horses is one of the UK’s largest equine welfare charities in the UK, completely funded by the generosity of public donations.

We are dedicated to improving the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules since we were established in 1968.

We have rescued, rehabilitated, re-homed or retired thousands of equines and we are working harder than ever to continue making a positive difference to equines wherever and whenever we can.

Between our two sites in Lincolnshire and Herefordshire we have over 400 animals currently in our care, which keeps us constantly busy.

Bransby Horses Visitor Centre near Lincoln is open to the public. A great day out for all the family with plenty to see and do.

We have visited Bransby horses on a number of occasions both as a family group and as a couple. The horses are very well cared for and the paddocks offer a lovely walk to see the horses and donkeys. The feedroom cafe offers a good range of food and drinks which is a lovely end to a walk round.

This place has lots of horses and donkeys that unfortunately have been mistreat and neglected. They do a wonderful job rehabilitating them and treating them with kindness and a lovely place to be. The land they have is a huge area with different types all around. They also have a big barn where there are horses waiting to be adopted.... More

Great day out, been here a few times. Kids love it :) nice in the summer time to take a picnic. Playpark also. Long or short walks, lovely horses and donkeys. Can get a bit windy going around the fields. Also a cafe reasonably priced. Gift shop is great, some cheaper prices for pocket money. Highly recommended place to visit.... More

Bransby Horses is approached along a country lane north of Lincoln. It is great for a day out with family members especially children. Horses, donkeys and goats can be viewed in the fields and stable areas, and the centre staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Good pathways for walking within centre. The new state of the art visitors centre has a... More

Well kept animals who have enough space to roam, my son is fond of them all especially the donkeys. Lovely cafe too.

The visitor centre is much improved and the horses are all well kept. It is a great place to take any horse mad person although be prepared for nagging about taking one home! The staff are dedicated and informative.

The visitor centre had been rebuilt since our previous visit several years ago and is a pleasant space with some nice gifts. Most importantly, the horses are well kept and happy. A nice afternoon out and buying a few gifts - or 'adopting' a horse helps to keep the place running.

This is in an attractive rural setting, plenty of walks and horses and donkeys to see. A good way to spend time on a family outing.

Peaceful country site. Lovely walks round the paddocks of horses. Beautifully restored barns and other farm buildings. Welcoming shop and cafe. Home made food, limited range but what there is is good. Large car park. Staff and volunteers find time to introduce the horses and their stories. Well worth a visit.
