The sculpture exhibition per se is excellent. However, if you wish to make a purchase, contact sculptor direct via catalogue. D Hall makes 30% commission on each piece. Staff not good on contacting buyers, difficult to speak to anyone over the phone, emails not answered. Very poor PR. A disappointing experience from such an eminent organisation.

Close to Lincoln and well worth a visit. Check opening, currently Sun, Wed and Bank Holiday Mondays. Adult admission £10.50 for house and gardens. We were lucky to catch the sculpture display in the gardens, it was being cleared away when we visited. The gardens are spectacular -six acres of interest, from nature trails to walled kitchen gardens. There are... More

Beautiful place and well worth visiting the vegetable garden which was excellent. It is nice going here and having something to eat then walking around the shop and then finally the grounds before heading home. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something to do for 3 hours, probably wouldn't spend a whole day there.

Visited Doddington Hall with my partner, son and Daughter in law. It is a delightfully peaceful place. The gardens are extensive with delightful statues and sculptures placed all around the gardens. A permanent feature apparently but available for the public to purchase as well. There are further walks around the area for grounds for those who want to take their dogs... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I just thought I should point out to readers that the sculpture is not a permanent feature in our garden, it is part of our biannual Sculpture at Doddington exhibition that ran throughout August and into September this summer. As I write (mid Sept) there are still a number of sculptures in... More

Enjoyed an interesting tour of the house with Alex who was extremely knowledeable and engaging with a large group. Surprised and Disappointed with the presentation of the walled garden but enjoyed the rest of the gardens, especially the sculptures on display. Excellent tearoom, reasonably priced. Very well presented farm shop again reasonably priced. Very impressed with overall set up with... More

This hall and gardens is unusual in that it is in a village and not surrounded by open countryside as so many historic houses are. Entry for seniors to the house and gardens was £10.50 each and this also included a worthwhile audio tour of the house. The audio tour could do with an update though as some things, such... More

The house was full of old paintings and collections of the past. Interesting to spend half a day. More interesting to me was the gardens. It was lovely in summer and was well kept. The walks were beautiful. We could not do all in a day. Will return for more walks. The cafe serves excellent food. The shop has excellent... More

Visited recently with our HHA membership (Historic Houses Association) for the afternoon - what a surprise! This house is privately owned in lovely grounds with walks. The Hall is medieval which appeals to us, and if you aren't a member of HHA the house and garden entry is about average for this kind of property. You can just pay for... More

The house is interesting, but it's all about the outside space. the grounds are lovely. The delicatessen style food shop is fabulous, and my fridge is now full!
