Back Street Pub
Feb 2019 • Solo
As in the title, it is! There used to be a brewery on site but apparently that went a while ago now. The lounge is quite large and was very welcoming, beer well kept.

Great guest beers

If you enjoy real ale then this is one of the best pubs you could call in to. It's grown in recent years and has maintained the quality, which says a lot. Give it a go, I think you'll enjoy it.

An Honest Local Pub
Sep 2017 • Business
If you want to meet ordinary, honest locals in Leicester, and experience authenticity, if you are near Mowacre Hill, or Abbey Lane in Leicester. Pop in. Recommended.

Drinks before party.

Great pub. It's off the beaten track down a side street, but it's worth finding it as it has a great selection of real ales. A must for real ale fans.

Skittles...
Jun 2016 • Family
Our mixed skittles team play in this Pub. There are big TV screens and it always seems busy. Our skittles night always end with a lovely scrumptious supper, nice after we take a loss !!! ha ha

Tom Hoskins is my local pub although I only visit once or twice a week.It is run by Marie and Errol who are the most friendly landlords. They serve a variety of real ales and if you like a down to earth pub with a lot of character then give it a visit..Dave P

old back street pub
Feb 2015 • Friends
I visit this pub twice a week.Up till a few years ago the brewery was attached to the pub at the rear.Real ale was the order of the day with about 5 different brews. After the closure of the brewery, trade transferred to the pub,it has a spit and sawdust bar with a flagstone floor. The lounge is very cosy and welcoming and an attraction within the lounge is figure that is in the open gap in the ceiling of the old brewer with a hoist and a large sack of hops. This is only one of this type of pub around with a history that goes back to the 19th Century.Real Ale is still searved and do a good selection of filled cobs.
