Place to learn about Jainism!
Feb 2020
As a part of my academic role, I visited the centre. It was an amazing experience to learn about Jainism. I met Smita and learned a lot about Jainism, Vegan and root of the non-violence. One of the most visit places near the city centre, Leicester.

Being of caucasian I visited and was willing to except that just maybe there is hope for a world without racism but alas even though it was within the stated opening hours i was unable to gain entry so i can assume they have little support so i still feel prejudiced. I have also googled my thoughts to put this together but it seems you have to be coloured to have been effected ?.

Amazing architecture! Fascinating immersion in Indian culture and to be precise into Jainism.

Jainism is an ancient religion from India that teaches that the way to liberation and bliss is to live a life of harmlessness and renunciation.
The aim of Jain life is to achieve liberation of the soul. Sounds familiar? It should because that is the essence of all religious and spiritual teachings!

What's even more fascinating is that Jainism spread through the teachings of enlightened men and women thought of in a way similar to prophets, although Jainism does not focus on any god or One God.

Even more fascinating is the story of a teacher of Jainism who had a miraculous birth, and whose mother is also revered. Sounds familiar again?

Simply fascinating how this little Indian house of worship in Leicester city centre can provoke so much thought into the history of mankind and our purpose in life.

Wonderful experience

This place is very peaceful. I would say it was a perfect stress release experience for me. Knowing the spiritual basic of this religion motivated me a lot on ways of living life. Interior is enormously beautiful. There is free entry. I would definitely visit next time whenever I am around this place.
