Great walking on proper paths and lovely scenic views over the lakes. Pay to park so make the most of your day. Footpaths and cycle paths all the way into Leicester should you want a longer walk.

I am so lucky to live 100 yards from an entrance to this park. Great for a jog or a quiet wander. Often used by dog walkers and families with children. Great for the summer sun, but equally accessible for all in winter as main pathways are concrete. Note that there are no toilet facilities on the park, but there... More

This is a fabulous place to visit...Lovely walks round the lake,or you can go further afield, we like to walk to Birstall park with the children stopping on the way to have a picnic, or why not go to the pub for lunch..there is a giant wooly mammoth statue that the children love to run around, also a little rope... I really like this place, however the rubbish really puts me off!! People are disgusting here and leave BBQ rubbish, throw rubbish into the lakes and I find its used for people to rev engines in the car park; not sure I see the appeal! DO NOT buy an ice cream here, a MASSIVE rip off and the woman is... More

Really nice for an easy walk - Once round one of the lakes is about a mile or you can go off on one of the many tracks and walk for hours. All really easy paths with plenty bike friendly. Always loads of dog walkers and kids.

Spent a morning here with our youngest, he was happy catching monsters whilst My Wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the views and scenery. The park was quite busy for a weekday but everyone seemed happy and friendly. Some of the paths do become waterlogged though so be prepared for some deep puddles on the paths. Lack... More

The perfect spot for a gentle walk, in almost all weathers. Family and dog friendly and full of natural history interest for young and old alike.

I go to this park regularly 2-3 times a week. Its great for people who want to avoid everyone else (mostly during the morning) as there are lost of off-roading walks to go on, you can let your dogs off too. There are also lots of paths so if you have a buggy or a wheelchair then you can just... More
