On the face of it, the bar area seemed quite hip and chilled, and the girl singing (live) was amazing. Sadly it all went vey down hill when I visited the toilets upstairs...the toilets are nothing short of a public health hazzard, as they clearly have not been cleaned in a very long time. It's beyond belief that the staff (and owner) let toilets get so filthy and unhygienic...especially during covid times, when cleaning should be a priority. Sadly the state of the toilets and the dust on all the stuff hanging from the ceilings will stop myself, and my friends from ever going back to this bar.

We went to the bar and was told that my 17yr old had to leave at 10pm so we went the next night yo be told after we purchased drinks that she couldnt stay. This was at 7.15pm. Bar man was rude saying i shouldnt challenge him. We will never return to this bar. Correct info would be nice and better mannered bar staff

We visited Blackpool for a weekend break and came to the Galleon on a recommendation.
It was so good we visit three nights on the go. Great music, and the decor is very interesting with music and film paraphernalia to satisfy practically any modern music enthusiast. From Frank Sinatra to Motörhead with everything in between sums the decor up nicely.
The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff helpful, friendly and polite. Customers from all age groups enjoying themselves here.
We will certainly be back on our next visit to Blackpool.

Found this quirky gem on Trip Adviser before my partner and I visited Blackpool's Funny Girls night spot. Lots of nostalgic artifacts from years gone by adds to the ambiance of this watering hole. Bar staff friendly and on the night we visited was a karaoke open mike. Female dj/compare was very friendly and obviously enjoyed being there. Cheap drinks and a good atmosphere.....what more do you want.

In the boiling heat today we couldn’t get in any bars so went here. It was very empty and we didn’t understand why. Drinks were reasonable and bar staff friendly.
As we were sitting by door soon found out why so empty, must have seen 15 people turned away for having joggers or tracksuit bottoms on - apparently a strict rule here - I’d swear some ladies had leggings rather than joggers on, but were turned away - must have cost business a fortune!
Was busier when we left, but nice bar, but be real careful what your wearing!

Filled with alcohol fueled punters, nice decor, but stopping and looking even though interesting it was shabby. The toilets were a disgrace, panels kicked in on some doors, messy, unclean and absolute dump. Made a change but not in a good way. Atmosphere was ok if you were plastered (which I was not!). Conversation here was impossible, not because of the music but because absolutely everyone in here was completely drunk. Anyway, never mind the clientele which can't be helped in Blackpool, this place was shabby, not very well maintained and did not smell nice. The toilets were awful...could do with a wet room style to assist mopping up all the puke. I think there might be themed nights here? The DJ seemed only to be able to play 60 / 70's Motown and disco, when we asked for a few recent ones we were told no? Wouldn't go back in a hurry, if at all...think I must be getting snobby and boring in my old age?

I've been to this bar before and absolutely loved it, the atmosphere was really good, so when we planned to go back to Blackpool this year I was raving to everyone about going to it, when we turned up there was live music playing and we all got a drink, the decor is really something special, including an old red phone box, anyway, the live music stopped and one of my friends who is a musician politely asked the bloke if he could play a few songs, the bloke said yes and so he played a song, everyone else in the bar loved it and was singing along with him and even some strangers got on stage and started singing, we were having loads of fun.
After two songs the bouncer walked straight up to my mate and snatched the guitar off him and tried to drag him out the club, this is without asking my friend to stop playing or anything, the bouncer then got booed by everyone in the bar, and the night was ruined.
because of the aggressive bouncer, I will not be coming here again, I thought this was a fun/chilled and relaxed bar until my latest experience

Total dump. It was great years ago but now its just a dive. The music is absolutely terrible, the bar staff are rude and the place itself is a dump. The owner turns a blind eye to druggies and dealing that goes on in there and the drinks are expensive and watered down. Stay well clear if your after a decent friendly night out.

Jeez no words really . Toilets absolute disgrace seriously just urine all over floor seat . Ordered drink lemonade flat poured another same . Left drinks

Expensive drinks that compare with night club prices
Prices are same even early in the evening
