We visited here last night for the first time and had the best night ever. We were staying in Blackpool for a few nights for birthday celebrations and we thoroughly enjoyed the night. The venue is beautiful and from the moment we arrived we were taken care of. All the girls and staff are lovely, kind and attentive. Special shout-out to Ben and Kasim behind the bar who were super friendly and efficient. We had a table seat (202) which is table service and were always kept topped up with drinks (even complementary ones thanks to one of the barmen) They have a wide variety of drinks available and very reasonably priced. The show itself is incredible, so enjoyable and entertaining. We weren’t sure exactly what to expect having never been before but were blown away by the standard of production and how talented all the performers are. We enjoyed every second of it and can say it was the highlight of the trip. We even booked a return visit whilst on the way home as we couldn’t wait to book again so are returning next month for more birthday celebrations and fun

Worth every single penny and more! From as little as £5 for a standing ticket. Or £17.50 for a seat. The best cabaret I have ever seen! Proper vegas style!! From the costumes and dancing to the scenery and comedy.. everything were magnificent! Even the theatre itself is an amazing piece of architecture! We were set up a tab, and paid at the end. We was regularly asked if we wanted another drink. And the drink prices I found reasonable. Very accommodating when I requested to move my tickets to the following day! Had the option to have a souvenir photograph (physical photo) taken with the DJ/host for only £5. The seating was very awkward! So tightly packed in with everyone else, with nothing more than a toddler size table in front of 2 chairs. No room to dance so was practically confined to your seat for the whole night. Could book a booth, but would then end up sharing with other groups. I’d probably just pay for a standing ticket next time, so I could stretch my legs and have a bit of space. Found that some of the floor staff were pretty miserable. DJ/host played a variety of songs and requests however I felt the shoutouts got quite repetitive and boring. We will be back to see what other shows Funny Girls have to offer!

I first visited Funny Girls on a couple of occasions not long after it opened back in 1994 when it was in Queen street. It was quite a bit different then as it was more of a bar set up than a night club as it is now. On first impression of the "new" venue is "Wow" what a transformation and takes you back to the bygone era of Art-deco and all of its lavish history. The money that has obviously been spent on the renovations must be staggering. From the time you walk through the front doors, past the foyer with its lush carpet with the Funny Girls Logo, you truly feel the ambiance of what it must have been like in the '20's or '30's. Everywhere was tastefully decorated with period touches. We opted for the VIP package which included a 2 course meal prior to the show. Everything was cooked to perfection and all served with a smile. We were then shown to our seats in front of the stage where there was a small table in front of you for drinks. The show starts at around 8pm and finishes just after 11pm with breaks for drinks etc in between. Zoe the compare was there to advise and keep the evening alive between acts. On the whole a great evening and cannot understand why they do not charge more for entry and food. Maybe they work on the basis of its better to have more people less money (and better atmosphere) than more money less people (and no atmosphere) In any event, its a five stars from me........well done and keep it up!

Wouldnt recommend this place at all I really don’t know how it has such good reviews.
upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who was stood talking to DJ Zoe who couldn’t even crack us a smile, showed him our ticket to be told to find staff inside to find our seat, took about 10 minutes to actually find anyone. we paid for vip seating to be show to the area which would usually be the standing area but had loads of seats added and a tiny table infront of you, you could barley move and were way to close to the stage, at £23 a ticket I didn’t really appreciate having the mick took by DJ Zoe saying were were sat in the pig sty considering I booked a vip table off a seating plan which was nothing like it showed you online it was rammed with chairs and you were squashed in like a sardine, we used the app to order and when the drinks came it was the wrong drinks trying to get somebody’s attention to change it was ridiculous yet as soon as ur drink was nearly empty they jumped on you to get another!
So the show started and DJ Zoe seems rather funny so that was great seen as tho we were there to see the funny girls then the sole drag queen came on with afew male dancers around her and whilst the production was great it was short lived and it was back to DJ Zoe to play afew songs on her laptop and read request now whilst this would be ok once during the night it was continuous and became very boring watching her stood looking akward playing song after song why ppl Just sat waiting for the next short lived production to come on, I really don’t get why this is not the showgirls for an hour a break then back on instead of afew short burst of a show, after an hour or so we had had enough and left, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and after speaking to afew locals it became clear the place now lives off its name, granted whilst the girls on stage were great it’s just not something that keeps you gripped for the way it is produced and for the price it’s shocking.

Went to see Funny Girls during a weekend break in Blackpool , mainly due to the rave reviews the show gets . Tickets said arrive at 7pm which we did , only to find that the actual DJ did not start until 8.15 and the show not until 8.30. We were shown to our seats upstairs where we were sat in a small booth for 4 . You do have to get on with your friends as space is tight. We had planned to order some snack meals as advertised on the website whilst we were there, but were told they were not available that evening. So we left to go and get something to eat and came back later .We had two hostesses looking after us who were friendly and fun,but it became clear why they wanted you there at 7pm as they were constantly coming around asking you if you wanted drinks. I think we were a bit of a disappointment to them compared to other tables who were ordering rounds and rounds of drinks and the shared pitchers. Because of this several members of the audience were very loud and and aggressive and we watched one couple have a full scale fight. At 8.15 the DJ came on , she was funny and played some great dance tunes but the evening did drag as you were really waiting for the show to start. Eventually they started at 8.30pm and the acts were as you would expect : mimed routines , but with some good dancing, and end of the pier type humour. The problem was they would do one number and then disappear , and the DJ would come on for another 15-20 minutes . Most of her spot was just reading out requests from the audience. The other issue is upstairs the sound system was not very good, it was very tinny and we struggled to hear what was being said. The guest act was brilliant a singer who had an amazing voice and did a great act of Queen songs which had everyone singing. After 2hrs though we's had enough , it just felt the evening was too long and was just trying to make money out of people buying more and more drinks , which were very expensive for Blackpool, When we left we walked through the lower floor of the theatre where it was standing only , and the sound was much better and I think being able to dance around probably gave it a bit more atmosphere. I think admittedly we were tired after a weekend of drinking , dancing and partying and perhaps we weren't in the right mood as weren't drinking too much due to a long drive the next day . At over £20 to get in it wasn't cheap and I just don't think it was worth the money or all the hype it gets. We talked to our B & B owner the next morning and he said the same as us too long breaks between acts made it boring, and he recommended other drag shows in town that were better and much cheaper

I am writing regarding a very disappointing visit to Funny Girls last night.

1, when we arrived they were not aware of the glass of fizz on arrival and this had to be requested 3 times before we got it.
2, There was clearly a food problem even though our order was given a week beforehand and we had to wait an hour for our starters, even though the order for this was taken about 6 times, giving the order to 4 different people, one who came back twice despite writing the order once on his hand.I am also still waiting to find any fish in the Salmon Fishcake starter which was just a potato cake.
3, we asked for the main course to be brought out as soon as ready and this was brought out before we had finished our starters, while mid way through our main course they again brought out our main course.
4, By this time the opening ofthe show had started which we could hear while still in the restaurant.
5, They then brought out the deserts, one of which was wrong but we accepted anyway rather then wait any longer, and when we asked for cutlery to eat it with, we’re given a knife and fork to eat cheesecake and ice cream.
6, We then went into the show area and were upset to see that our VIP tickets were at the very back in the far corner (table 24) and could not see the DJ part of the show.
7, The show was not very entertaining, and you had a 10 minute or so performance of dancing and miming then with 15-20 minutes of the DJ talking through some text messages while playing records on a deck, as such the performances in total were probably just over an hour for a 3 hour show so not very good at all.
8, The booth was also quite tight and cramped and being a VIP area a lot more was expected.

while I would compliment the staff at the booking stage and in the show room, if there was a problem in the restaurant (there clearly was) if we were advise what it was and what was being done this might of helped.

While the dancing and costumes were very good, a lack of interaction and comedy would make this somewhere I would not recommend.

This show was definitely not worth paying £23 per ticket to sit in a booth and watch. The main presenter was funny/seemed nice however the show itself was terrible. The dancing wasn’t anything special and didn’t seem to have a story line or meaning behind the dances, which were all similar.

I think for £23 I was expecting proper choreography.

We ended up leaving early.

Definitely recommend booking online and the drinks are cheaper if you pre-book. Go for the whole experience with a meal before, it was better than I expected, the restaurant is separate from the main auditorium in a beautiful art décor room and the doors open at 6:30pm but you can book a table for later. Your pre-ordered drinks are waiting for you on the restaurant table and you can get beer from the bar.

DJ starts at 8:00pm to get the crowd warmed up with the first cabaret at 8:30pm and it finishes at approx. 11:00pm. We saw the Halloween show which was very good Betty Legs Diamond still showing the youngsters how it’s done after 26 years since starting it all.

A great night out and one not to be missed.

My friend and I went to funny girls on Sunday 26th September and had a great time.
We pre booked a meal which was perfectly fine, not a gourmet meal but not paying gourmet prices are we? The staff from admission to the place and throughout the night were outstanding. Polite at all times and excellent table service throughout.
The show was good fun, the dj and the music between acts was good and we had a really enjoyable evening.
Would recommend

Just been to see the Christmas show and it was amazing, very well performed loved every number favourite was the penguins, was also so good to see some classic ballroom moves. Prices are very reasonable and we would have had more drinks but our waitress was so miserable never smiled and we felt we were putting her out if asked for drink but she was only young so hopefully she will learn. This said it would not put us off going back
