Great experience we've had as a family in Sandcastle Waterpark yesterday. Its one of the best attractions in Blackpool. If you have kids you can't miss it. Ive seen smiles on each face adult or child. Everyone seemed very happy and enjoyed the time there. Staff for really helpful and patient. My 10 year old daughter went on every single ride with dad over the 3hr afternoon session. It was busy in the afternoon so had to wait un queue but towards 4pm ot was less crowded so sometimes even no queue. My daughter really enjoyed all rides especially big ones. I enjoyed the wave pool a lot and so many places to sit and have a bite to eat and a drink. We've really enjoyed out time there. Its a place to go in Blackpool thats for sure regardless if you can swim or not. Very well organised and managed. If id live locally wed definitely go for annual passes. 👍

Absolutely fantastic place! We were a bit worried reading some of the reviews - however I’m so glad we gave it a chance. Firstly the people complaining about the price - we found the pricing very realistic and it’s technically 3 hours of entertainment, finding this for cheaper is pretty much impossible nowadays. The venue itself is absolutely spotless - really clean and well looked after. Felt very organised and the staff were super helpful. Slides were amazing - my 8 year old loved them and we didn’t have to wait that long for any of them. We ate from the diner which is your usual pizza/burger/hotdog place but it was all hot and freshly made. I can’t praise this place any higher. Being a business owner I know how hard Covid has hit places like this. We need to support them to keep them going - as a lot of Blackpool has become seriously run down. This is a hidden gem and deserves our support. Thank you to team Sandcastle for a brilliant day 😊

First visit here with our 3 (nearly 4 year old) easy to book, felt a bit pricey but we did spend the full 3 hours there plus had food which was great quality. Lots of chairs and tables to leave towels on. Nicely heated pool and area, never felt cold. I would have given it a 4 or 5 but whilst they say there would be a reduced capacity due to covid... they hadn't really made any adjustments, only staff wearing masks. There definitely was not a reduction in capacity, it was a sea of people when walking into the pool area and after driving over an hour and paying a good deal to park and for tickets we couldn't really just leave. We are just waiting to get positive tests back at some time the week ahead... overall the day was really positive but left with a sour taste and anxiety from the lack of covid restrictions in place.

We visited here the bank holiday after Xmas. We booked the earliest session hoping it would be quiet and it certainly was.

The first two hours of our 3 hour stay was superb. No queues for any of the slides. After the 2 hour point it got really busy but by then we'd done all the slides numerous times and so went for something to eat.

All the staff we encountered were really friendly. The locker/money wrist bands are a great idea and worked well. The food at the café was very nice and not too expensive.

We had a great day and will definitely be back. Hopefully it will be just as quiet!

It’s been a very gloomy few months so decided a warm afternoon in water was the best thing to do. For those of you looking for school holiday activities that feel safe with lots of social distancing - this is perfect for you. The sessions have to be booked, to ensure there is enough room for everyone. Lifeguards are as helpful as always and the place is clean as a whistle. Leaving energised and tired. Another fab day! £18 for three hours for a child - can’t argue with that whatsoever!!

We had an amazing day at the tiki cabana at the Sandcastle Waterpark on Saturday. The whole day felt like such a treat and the private area is so well thought out with a hot tub, fridge of drinks and sofa area to relax. From the minute we arrived, every member of staff made us feel so welcome and we all commented how friendly absolutely everyone was. We loved the slides and wave pool and it was great to have somewhere to relax after all that adrenaline! We chose the sandwich platter for lunch which was lovely and fresh and extra nice to have wine for the adults. We were also able to swap the beer and cider in the fridge for other other beer that we preferred. Our children haven’t stopped talking about what a brilliant day they had and have been asking when we can go back. We will definitely be back!

Three hours of super fun in a great atmosphere while it poured down outside. Money back from lockers helps pay for snacks in the great cafe before leaving

First thing to mention is that the Sandcastle is spotlessly clean. The changing areas are clean and the showers / toilets too. Given the number of people here, that surprised me.

Ah, the people...well, it's true that I was also surprised at the crowd here. What with social distancing and booking sessions, I probably expected about half the amount of folk allowed in. Queues were therefore pretty long, especially for the Master Blaster.

That said, me and my teenage daughters had the most amazing time here at the Sandcastle. We made memories, and that's what I hoped for when taking them all the way from Cornwall to the Vegas of the North this week.

This waterpark is ace. There are loads of flume rides and we ride them all. There are wave machines and rapids, and water cannons and slides. I saw young kids were catered for with loads of little slides for their ages too.

Everyone is super-friendly; the staff are an absolute credit to the place. It was incredibly warm and the water was very clean and pleasant to swim in.

We ate pizza, chips and coke (Blackpool doesn't really do healthy food lol) and it was reasonably priced and very tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't worry about social distancing and crowds, and who enjoys having fun in life!

We certainly did and will be back!!

Visited as a family of 4.

On the plus side, water was nice and warm as was the overall temperature of the place. All staff members were nice and friendly. Rides were all good fun.

Could do better, it was far too busy, people everywhere, quite uncomfortable with Covid, literally no chance of staying a safe distance from anyone. At least 30 minute queues for most slides, the water in place also looked dirty.

Spent time here during our recent visit to Blackpool. Kids enjoyed it. It was VERY busy and wait time for some slides was long.
Admission prices are expensive and can’t get entry to pool without paying to go on rides
