Must see
Nov 2018 • Family
The lighting effects are stunning. It's a walking round event . There are places to sit and toilets and soft drinks.
Not expensive but I've never seen the kids this quiet . Their eyes sparkled and they didn't stop smiling.

Superb Event, Shame It's Closed
Sep 2017 • Friends
Such a shame this lovely place is now closed. It is obviously missed due to the high amount of positive reviews.
It seems such a shame that it's all been pulled down and is now an empty venue. Surely it would have been better to keep Illuminasia open earning a profit rather than closing it and leaving it empty.

Gutted it's closed

We visited on the very last day the Illuminasia exhibit was open, making the most of the discounted £5 entry. We'd previously considered going, but the original expensive ticket prices put us off. When I received a notification that Illuminasia was closing, and the closing date coincided with our visit, it was swiftly added to our to-do list.

I'm glad we left it until this visit, as our 7 year old daughter was able to appreciate the spectacle of the indoor lights properly, especially the room with the giant insects & animals. All the exhibits were amazingly well made, though there were some that were beginning to show signs of wear & tear, I guess that could be due to the length of time the show has been open.

The laser light show at the end of the tour is a bit over-crowded, a pretty small area considering the number of people trying to squeeze in, but worth the wait.

Gift shop could have been organised and sited better, rather than at the back of the laser show area, the queue was poorly managed, but this may have been due to the impending closure, and the reduced prices of all the souvenirs.

Well worth the visit, such a shame it's closing, I hope it re-opens in a new location.

Permanently closed?
Nov 2017 • Couples
Having read some favourable reviews we planned to include this on our recent break to Blackpool. Finding the winter gardens was tricky as the building seems to be being refurbished. When I did find the box office was told rather curtly that the exhibition was closed permanently even though there were posters and leaflets all round the town.

Different and worth the Fiver paid.
Oct 2017 • Family
It was worth the fiver paid on the door but not sure it would be worth the Ticketmaster booking fee that appeared to be two quid per ticket (making £7 admission)

Excellent and novel idea. We spend a good hour in there and could have spent longer. Other posts have explained what its all about so no need for repetition here.

Strollers have to be left at the door as there are steps to negotiate inside the exhibition.
