A nice public house with safety restrictions in place......the drinks were as they should be but the prises were higher than usual -why was that.

I will let you decide, if that is so.

Takes an age to get served from the miserable staff last night but not if they know you and it was near empty not be going back seem to favour the few drunk locals than tourists so will visit the loads of other boozers available tonight instead and spend my hard earned cash

We visited here for my stag do on Saturday afternoon, The music was banging and everyone gets involved with classics like Delila and sweet Caroline, lots of 70s and 80s tunes and you cannot help but get up and have a dance.
Lots of hen parties who joined in the fun and Jo the DJ was so so funny, but be warned he takes no prisoners and is very near the knuckle. Drinks were cheap and the shots girl is round every 5 minutes if you dare.
We had a bouncing five hours in here with no trouble and loads of fun and laughs.
YOU MUST VISIT.

Walking around this part of town my twin brother Stephen and I chanced upon this great pub and what a great time we had.
Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a traditional pub interior, pubby decor and furnishings, a brick serving bar,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, a classic British pub.
We were here on a Monday early evening, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and ordered a beer each, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just kicked back and soaked up the great vibe in this popular pub.
We chose Carling beer,a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer, on a hot evening a totally refreshing brew, its not my normal tipple, more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but I must say it was delicious as was the atmosphere of this pub.
We both really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit we were totally impressed with The Castle Pub.
The Castle Pub is easy to locate along Central Drive.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm.
Friday & Saturday, 10am till 1am.
Sunday, 10am till 11pm.
A great pub, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning to visit Blackpool.

Amazing pub, great atmosphere, bar staff amazing. The one thing which makes this place stand out is the DJ Joe who plays every Saturday and keeps everyone entertained and keeps a smile on everyone’s face. If your visiting Blackpool for a weekend for a few beers, this is a must visit, especially from 12 - 6 on a Saturday afternoon.

Nice venue but the manager was very rude and arrogant. There was no need for his rude behaviour. The bar staff and bouncers were fine. Such a shame that this place is ruined by one staff members attitude. The owners should act on these reviews.

Visited the Castle Pub with family. Two couples with two children each. We wanted a quiet sit down to rest the kids' feet for a while, have a drink and use the free WiFi.

My 7 year old son, 8 year old nephew and 10 year old daughter laid themselves down on the grubby bench seats. Instantly the manager came over in a rant and with overwhelming aggression, shouting at the youngsters to "get your feet off the seats, people have to sit on them". It is not what he said (though a please wouldn't have gone amiss) but his unjustified aggression. And this is what I particularly took offence to.

We decided to leave but as my sister-in-law was not permitted to leave before paying for the two drinks that had been poured, I decided to confront the pub manager on the way he addressed our young children.

I told him I didn't appreciate the way he spoke to the children and instead of an apology, which would have been the professional response, he began ranting at me, very aggressively, stating that as he'd been in the trade for 35 years he'd earned the right to speak to his customers and children in the way he did.

He came across as a typical bully boy, thinking his size would intimidate me. He was wrong, he didn't intimidate this Sergeant Major. Fortunate for him, l had my family with me. I dare say, if he hadn't had a little Dutch courage in him (I could smell it), he probably wouldn't have shown inappropriate aggression towards the kids in the first place.

Besides the unprofessional pub manager and his lack of interpersonal skills, the place is pretty grubby and is clearly a locals spit and sawdust type of establishment. Other pubs and bars in the area at the time were all packed cheek to jowl but the Castle was virtually baron. Possibly as a result of the grimy decor and dead atmosphere, but maybe because the manager is an idiot.

Avoid at all costs, especially if you're with kids as the place isn't safe for them.

Went to the castle for a quick drink with my husband, the bar tender was rude and arrogant, the lager was tasteless and flat! Another couple walked in after us and I heard the bar tender tell the lady in no uncertain terms that the pub was not a yate's as all the drinks advertised in the menu that she wanted were unavalible, the toilets stank, the locals were arguing and there was even a customer proudly displaying his police monitoring tag! Not for family's or people who like a decent pint, rough isn't the word!!!
