Stanley park is the green heart of Blackpool. Visitors do not always know about it. Local residents know it as a special place. My daughter (now grown) describes Stanley Park as 'a place with no bad memories'. We go there to re-charge and to chill out. Weekends in the summer there is live free music, in the bandstand by the... More

Whilst on a short visit to Blackpool we decided to spend a few hours in Stanley Park. A short bus ride from the centre of town took us there. We really enjoyed the tranquility and it was great to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the promenade for a little while. It was a typical late autumn... More

Often call in for just a coffee or a light lunch. Really good value for money and the kids love it. Also the art deco restaurant is beautifully sited overlooking the Italian Gardens

I don't want his to be about the Park hence why I haven't reviewed this as low as I'd like. This is in regards to the art deco cafe. £2.95 for a Horlicks? Really??? It wasn't even anything special. The cafe is privately owned and quite frankly I wouldn't go again, I'm adverse to unfairness.

There is a time when you want (need) a quiet walk in Blackpool - and what better place than Stanley Park? If you park at the model village (worth a visit with small children) you can walk around the park, check out the BMX track, the clock and the Italian Gardens then past the boating lake and bandstand and then...
