Great experience and place to visit for all the family
Sep 2019
Great experience and place to visit for all the family, we have been twice in the last month, we joined the WET on our first visit. We plan on visiting again soon and also make trips to some of their other WET sites.

A great day out.

Bring me sunshine
Jun 2019 • Couples
Had a very pleasant walk around the mere with the dogs. It was a beautiful summers day with lots of people taking advantage of the weather and surroundings - children on bikes; prams and wheelchairs; dog walkers; bird watchers; young and not so young. Some of the hides could be cleaner and the reeds / rushes cut back to get a better view. Having said that we did see a heron and some otters as well as the more common water life.

Walk
Jun 2019 • Family
Had a gentle walk around the whole of the mere, which took about an hour as we kept stopping to take photos of the lovely views. The paths are fairly flat although probably not wheelchair friendly.

Lovely nature reserve
Oct 2018
Excellent views of Blackpool, from tower and good photographic opportunities. Saw an otter in the water for several minutes. Volunteers doing an excellent job but dog poo a problem and affects some grass management techniques.

A great day out.
Jul 2018
We've been wanting to get here for a few years now. In the north-west for family reasons and had a spare day. Enjoyed the rare species enclosures and the well maintained grounds. The wild hides were great, Highlight being a 10 minute "performance" by a marsh harrier - stunning!
