GREAT FUN WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS, A MUST DO ACTIVITY WHEN VISITING BLACKPOOL.
Nov 2021
This was our second visit this year , our party ranged from fourteen to sixty+ years old . Before you start you get a safety briefing a run down on the cart , how to get in and out and operate the controls and a handy talk on the track while watching a member of the team drive round a couple of laps. Then the fun begins its the best track I have ever been on , we are quite a competitive bunch so didn't spare each other when passing and spinning round , I felt safe at all times and cannot believe what a great buzz it gives you. Yes after twenty minutes your wrists are aching a bit but its the same for everybody and the eight of us all though it was brilliant. We will be back next year for another drive , many thanks to the Team at Formulakart.

Couldn't recommend. Definitely the worst go carting experience I've had.
Sep 2021
The young guy with dark blond hair was really nice in giving us instructions before we started but thats really where the positives end.
The go carts are very uncomfortable. My girlfriend told me after we finished that she was going to stop 5 minutes into the 15 minute session as her arms were sore trying to turn the cart.
My hands were also pretty sore after I finished with trying to turn the heavy steering wheel for 15 minutes (it felt a lot longer than that) to the point that it was unenjoyable.
I also noticed one of the staff urinating at the corner of the track in full view when we were walking away. Can't believe he's allowed to operate without toilet facilities.
They could also do with offering hand wipes to customers when finished as our hands were filthy and there was a strong smell of oil or petrol, though this might have been coming off our clothes.

Shocking behaviour..!!
Aug 2021
We attended last week with our sons and I was deeply upset the way an older male who worked there came out of one the steel containers angrily shouting the ‘f’ word at my 12yr old son who collided with the tyres. It was simply an accident which happens all time but this nasty man should NOT be allowed to speak to anyone like this. I was on the other side of the track but by the time I came around it was sorted however my son was very upset. The younger chap who gave us initial instructions was decent but it did not help my son being put into a kart that was too small but promised to change him after a few laps and it was very clear to everyone he was restricted with steering. This ruined our day out which was supposed to be a fun day out. Shame on you Nasty Angry man..!

Excellent fun, great times, what a laugh. Did 30 mins with a 5 min break between. Such a laugh and so fast.
Great intro to the cars and track. Loved the team and they even took some photos of us belting round. Would really recommend.

Awful
Aug 2021 • Family
To the grease monkey owner of this establishment that has zero people skills and only feels better when belittling others, even more so when it’s helpless children (when they ask questions) but hay! you’re the owner so you’re always right!

I wouldn’t waste my time or money even travelling to this establishment, there are so many better places you can go to have fun than this place

If you’re happy to handover your money and do exactly as you’re told and not want to be heard then this is definitely the place for you

Wouldn't even give it a zero star. The guy who owns this shambles needs a lesson in many things especially how to deal with customers. The way he speaks and berates children in front of a line of people waiting and watching is the most disgusting thing I have ever witnessed. All because my son said that something wasn't right with the karts, this is a child that suffers with a disability and because karting helps him relax and release any anxiety and stress goes karting 5 nights a week and has never had an issue like this before at any track he has been to, this is obviously because the more professional establishments we attend service and look after the karts more than this joke of a place. Guys save yourself the 40quid and go to somewhere more professional. This is more like a fairground ride that's on its way out than a race track.
Also the owner needs to study the equalities act 2010 but then again I'm sure the people we are reporting him too will be more than happy to give him a lesson in this.
I would like to applauded the vile human being for making my son cry. Hope it's made you feel good about yourself, bullying children.
Also I'm sure Blackpool council would be super happy to know that you let customers and staff urinate in the corner of your track for all to see, especially when there are children and family's around. Just another prime example of the professionalism of this place!!!

Get your heart racing whilst having some fantastic fun on the go karts
Aug 2021 • Family
If your looking for fun and excitement look no further than this place it absolutely brilliant, me and my step son 13 loved it that much we went on them twice, the people who own and run it are fantastic and great with children, I would highly recommend this place if you are in Blackpool and it's so easy to get to by foot or tram, nearest tram stop is the cabin and it's 2 minutes from there or walk along the front from the north pier towards bispham and it takes about 30 minutes and it's a lovely walk.

Formula Kart Blackpool is a hidden gem!
Jul 2021 • Family
My son (aged 14 years) and nephew (aged 16 years) paid Formula Kart in Blackpool a visit on Thursday 22 July 2021. They wanted to try a similar attraction at South Pier, but I am glad we didn't and found this place instead.

First of all getting there. Formula Kart is beyond North Pier heading out of town. If travelling by tram, alight at "Cabin" and it's a shirt walk from there.

Cost: We paid £50 for the boys to have a 15 minute session in the karts. So this is not a bargain basement attraction by any means, but it was a treat for the holidays and well worth it.

Sessions start at 10 minutes up to 30 minutes in duration. This week saw Blackpool experience some of its hottest weather in years, so for safety reasons Sessions were a maximum of 15 minutes. So the company were not greedy. If they didn't care about safety they could easily have taken money for half hour sessions. They did not which I respect because any small business in these times needs all the custom it can get.

Before getting into your car you are given a safety briefing by the staff, who explain the controls of the car and tell you what to do if something goes wrong. My son was given a smaller Kart because of his height and weight, but my nephew who is much taller, was given a large Kart. I would say the karts are either teenager or adult. They also ensure you have a crash helmet that fits correctly. We saw a few customers use the track before our two went on, and the staff were very patient with the small groups of lads who were on. Only a small number of karts are permitted on the track at any time. The karts do not have seat belts.

You can pay by cash or chip and pin.

Our overall thoughts were that this attraction was excellent.

Wet racing but so so much fun
Jul 2021
The staff were truly amazing, keeping the enthusiasm and professionalism so high when 5 guys turn up at 4pm on a miserable Sunday afternoon dripping wet and Keen to race. the rain was torrential and there was thunder which put so much water on the track, some great pics of us on formulakart facebook page too. The Karts almost ran underwater which was testimony to the quality and skill of the staff who are obviously proud of them. this is the best Karting experience ive had, as the rain eased and the track cleared it gave a glimpse of what to expect on a dry track. will be returning at some point. A huge thankyou.
